The Echoes Saga continues.

The scales have tipped. The battle for Namdhor, the north, and the entire realm of man was a sure victory for the orcs. But they lost.

Now, under the rule of a would-be-king, the armies of man fuel the war when they should be bolstering their defenses. Only a few understand that time is against them, yet these few must fight alone if the dawn is to rise over Illian once more.

The heroes of the realm have banded together, but they cannot fight side by side. There is only one way they can win, seen by the oldest dragon and preserved inside the broken mind of a ranger.

From the shadows, the Crow muddies the waters, making it all the harder to see the path to victory. In the depths of the Bastion, where even time is his slave, the ancient necromancer has finished his work. The king is almost ready....

Age of the King continues this unmissable epic fantasy series.

Great story excellent narration

I have tried many fantasy novels and some of them become bewildering and self indulgent with their complicated worlds and rules governing how they work. Philip has written a saga that builds gradually with wonderfully developed characters that you care about, and the story barrels along at a good pace. I cannot wait until the next audio book read by Steven is ready!

The series remains gripping

Loved it. Hearing S Brand voice Dorin after the wait time for the publish is like seeing an old friend again.

Excellent continuation of the saga

This one is my favorite of the second part of the story. This one got me in all the right places. I look forward to reading more from Mr. Quaintrell, as I can say he is my favorite author of all time.

Better and Better

I love to see an author get better and better with each book. His work has gone from enjoyable filler when I'm in between books of other series to something I genuinly anticipate.

ughhhh

why? Many see romantic arcs in a sword and sorcery tale as useless filler but to me they're some of the best parts of the story. That being said I'm willing to forgo their presence in place of quality story but honestly the author seems to really enjoy writing villains and spends most of his time setting up how terrible their deeds are and how hopeless the heroes are. On top of that you've got half the heroes as celibate dragon riders! how boring is that? If I was trapped in this world you would find me in a burned out tavern drunk with a dwarf. Wondering how all the dragon riders let all but one city burn to the ground and if there might be a content somewhere that after six books a tormented hero can get laid. PS Steven Brand did a great job as usual.

Excellent!

Very enjoyable story, wrapping up the plotline developed in Book 5 quite nicely. Love the return of Asha and glad that the friends survived the journey. Looking forward to Book 7!
