Summary
Agatha Raisin, retired PR supremo, has been spurned at the altar by the man of her dreams, her attractive neighbour James Lacey. So temporarily deserting the sleepy Cotswold village of Carsely, she pursues her fleeing fiancé to north Cyprus where, instead of enjoying a romantic honeymoon, they witness the killing of an obnoxious tourist in a disco. Can the duo forget their differences and resume their strangely successful sleuthing partnership?

Holiday reading
With possibilities of having holidays again this book would be a good one to take. It is a murder story with several characters but it also has fun in it!
The narrator is Penelope Keith who is brilliant with the characters voices. I could listen to her reading a story all day. To me the Agatha Raisin books are great in her hands!

Good but not my favourite
I absolutely love Agatha Raisin's character, she is so funny, strong-willed but also sensitive and vulnerable!
I love Penelope Keith as the narrator, better than the plays actually, which is unusual for me. The issue I had with this one is, I didn't like the police detective, I like Bill Wong and didn't like this other guy taking that role! I also got a bit fed up with James, why is he being so damn difficult and nit-picky! He either likes Agatha or he doesn't!
It's interesting to see the development between the characters but with this one we didn't really get that as none of the normal crowd were in this story, I think that's possibly why I didn't like it as much. But still a good murder mystery!

not best story but enjoyable!
Narration was good apart from a couple of 'dodgy' accents. The story is daft but a jolly good fun romp. easy listening.

Good
Agatha Raisin is as always.... good. So is Penelope Keith reading the story. I cannot imagine anyone else doing the dialogue. Agatha reminds me at times of myself.
Lovely little watercolours on the "sleeve", I always study them.

Hooked from the start
Since the Agatha Raisin series is not available in German, I started reading them in English. Penepole Keith IS Agatha. I downloaded a lot of the audiobooks and after finishing one, I cant wait to start the next one.

OK but not her best
As with all the Agatha Rasin books so far, this is enjoyable easy listening.
This one is a bit tired though as the constant bickering between her and James is tedious and it is becoming hard to see why a strong minded woman like Agatha is acting so pathetically or what she even sees in the insipid hypocrit anyways.
