Summary

Agatha Raisin's ex-husband James has become engaged to a beautiful young woman, and Agatha has been kindly invited to the wedding. This is a difficult pill to swallow, so to take her mind off it, Agatha begins a flirtation with Sylvan, a Frenchman she met at James's engagement party. She also decides to holiday in Istanbul, where unfortunately, she bumps into James and his fiancée, not once but twice - convincing him she is stalking them. So when the bride is murdered on her wedding day, naturally Agatha is Suspect Number One....

Delightful

Another thoroughly enjoyable romp through the life of Agatha Raisin. Penelope Keith is the perfect narrator, nobody else who could do it better.

There goes the Bride

A very easy listen. Penelope Keith's voice suits the story very well. I will probably listen to more. I have read the books before but listening brings the stories more alive.

another jolly Agatha raison story

its not going to win any literary awards but it is indeed a hoot with a trifle silly detective story thrown in. Great listen for doing chores etc

Facile

I have heard of the Agatha Raisin books and thought to give this a try. What a waste of a credit! The main character is unpleasant and the book itself trite and boring. Definitely a fail!

Another brilliant Agatha Raisin adventurre

There are a lot of boat trips and European trips in this one, and once again Agatha is almost killed. Several times she almost succumbs to the grim reaper, but not quite. A fast paced story, brilliantly performed.

Ghastly Agatha stumbles through another lame story

I only listen to these books because they are so rubbish I can put them on the timer and go to sleep to them. in this outing, the murder is solved half way through and the rest of the story is about the ghastly A lurching desperately from one man to the next like a naive schoolgirl

Oh and MC, use an editor!! You refer three times to 'badly executed' paintings. And your sloppy writing needs a good prune!
