About this listen

An emotional new psychological thriller from the #1 best-selling author of While My Eyes Were Closed.

You have 18 months left to live....

On a wet Monday in January, Jess Mount checks Facebook and discovers her timeline appears to have skipped forward 18 months, to a day when shocked family and friends are posting heartbreaking tributes to her following her death in an accident. Jess is left scared and confused: is she the target of a cruel online prank or is this a terrifying glimpse of her true fate?

Amongst the posts are photos of a gorgeous son she has not yet conceived. But when new posts suggest her death was deliberate, Jess realises that if she changes the future to save her own life, the baby boy she has fallen in love with may never exist.

I kind of worked out the ending wasn't really a big twist , also the fb messages who or what did that ? Did they continue ? The storyline was good but long drawn out scenes in the middle that didn't really go anywhere to be honest . The ending was short and sweet could have explained more .

It was ok

I really enjoyed this book. It was brilliantly performed, narrated. I couldn't stop listening. I can't tell you what I liked the most because it was overall great. I liked how the diary entries moved back and forth from the future to the present and sometimes in the past. I don't want to spoil anything about the plot, but I can tell you the characters were brought alive. Brilliant. It's definitely worth a listen.

Brilliant!

Would you try another book written by Linda Green or narrated by Emmy Rose and Helen Lloyd ?

I'm not sure I would, no.

What could Linda Green have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I think the book needed a stronger ending. I also think the book cover is quite confusing. The story had a good strong start but then I felt it just sort of trundled along, and limped to the end, there were so many opportunities to take this book down twists and turns, I think with a little more TLC it could have been great.

Did Emmy Rose and Helen Lloyd do a good job differentiating each of the characters? How?

Yes I think they did.

Do you think After I've Gone needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No.

It was alright

Psycho thriller, which was better than the usual drivel of an alcoholic female failed in love.

No spoilers.... This book dealt with a sensitive subject matter and did not sensationalise it which was good.

There were a few large pot holes in the plot but on the whole it was a good listen.

Social media nightmare

I was totally drawn in by the storyline/plot and a wonderful narration. But when the plot began to change and its twists and turns took us to its actual ending, I was more than,"literally " shocked. fantastic book.

This is my first novel by this author and I now feel like buying another just to see if the "magic" is still there. The question remains, which one next? I'm just not sure as they all have outstanding reviews. it reminds me of being a kid in a sweet shop, not knowing which one to choose next.

I was not disappointed by this book
