Summary

Children are not supposed to rescue their parents, life is supposed to be the other way around. And rescues aren't supposed to be needed on the trip out to the new colony planet Valhalla. Slow, yes. Boring, yes. Dangerous? No, the trip is not supposed to be dangerous, never has been.

When thieves attack the transport ship to steal an ancient alien artifact, and young Kaylee and her brother, Manny, are cut off from their parents, they have to stop the thieves from getting what they want, because once the thieves have the artifact, they're not leaving any witnesses.

Really enjoyed that

Great book where the kids are the hero’s. A little predictable, but still very entertaining and well narrated

it isn't particularly outstanding.

Compared to the Expeditionary Force series, this one pales. One positive aspect is that the storyline is not full of wildly unlikely turns in it. Also the fiction part of the science fiction is not exaggerated. Still, some appropriate level of humour is sorely lacking. And children becoming heros is not my cup of tea.

Space pirates.

A nice little science fiction story by Craig Alanson about surviving space pirates in three different locations at the same time.
A little childish but I’m guessing that it suppose to be.

Excellent narration by MacLead Andrews for each of the characters in this creation.

My recommendations !!!

Oded Ostfeld.

not too bad

I found it too long in places and slow to the point. I feel it's more for the you Get generation

Great book. Excellent descriptive narrative. I already see the movie. Highly recommend for scifi lovers.

Love the book

Loved the book but didn't like the narrator.
Story was easy to follow plenty of action and nice characters.

Really enjoyed this entry to another Craig Alanson story

This definitely has the making of a great series and could take us anywhere in upcoming books. The kids voices were a little frustrating at times but I got used to it after a short while. Some parts of the story were a little predictable but I like the easygoing way manner in which the story was written.

Definitely a fan and yes I have the expeditionary force T-shirt.

I dare the author to introduce a shiny beer can relic into his book. Even if it is discarded, a skippy cameo would fit well here without the annoying little beer can talking. Eg somebody finding a beer can and discarding it.

Not Expeditionary Force, but that's a good thing

I should preface this by saying I love the Expeditionary Force series. I pre order each book and love the writing and the narration. This is not more of the same however if you enjoy that series I think you should give this a shot. It's a really enjoyable book that has potential to grow. The narration is great and he does a good job of making each the characters real. If you enjoy other Craig Alanson stuff you are pretty much guaranteed to love this.
