About this listen

Rocket legs and fists full of diplomacy. A world prepared for thunderous progress. Cal returns.

The skies above Olympus rumble as a long pilgrimage reaches its apex. With Cal having reached his lighthouse and found his way home, the ancient dungeon wakes to a world made from the remnants of the old. Caltopia! A glorious planet, complete with an uncharted sea.

A grandfather welcomes Cal home at the end of a great fight and the dawn of a new era. The time for Oaths has come. The memory cores are undone. Odin waits with demons abound, as Artorian delves up ancient heroes from the Divine Dungeon era to help him do the rounds.

Artorian is ready for a knockout and to come to Accords.

OK so here the thing it's never nice moving to a new narrator in the middle of a series but it can happen. that being said i didn't find the chance to be that bad at all, I still knew who was who and to be honest after an hour I didn't care.

I do love how this series is filling in all the little hole in the main story. the climax of this book was very satisfying.

New Narrator , same amazing story

I dont want to sound like om bashing on the new narrator but we have gone from one of the best who has a different voice for each important chsracter to someone who sounds basicly the same all the time the book it still great but that magic Travis brought to the characters and the world is gone

changing the narrator at book 11 is a bad move

The new narrator, although a very good deliverer of the story, doesn't have the same flavour as the original narrator. New accents to characters and not overly varied voices make the story difficult to follow, as I no longer know who exactly is speaking.

It is absolutely difficult for the narrator who has come in to take over the voices and intonations of the different characters that have been built over the entire series so far.

On the note of references, wow there are so many in this book! From gaming to memes and films, there are some parts choc-full and others more sparse.
Although I did not find it overly annoying I did find myself laughing at the silliness and unnecessity of some of them as they were either outright quotes or some sort of backhanded workaround to not sound like 9gag.

Story wise it follows the other books just as it should not diverging from it's original design. it just feeling different as the narrator is trying to make it in his own style. While not wrong, Different, just Different...

Firstly changed the reader and what makes it worse is the cameo comment in the book alluding to the guy that read all the others. I dropped out of this series cause the last two were a bit meh this is also a bit meh compared to the first 3 in series. I enjoy artorian but not the setting up of the game world, although I do enjoy the game world they make in the completionist chronicles series. One other thing I’d change is Dakota please stop including you’re name in a cameo in every book it’s good once or twice but I’ve listen to three different series around 15ish books and you do it in all of them. Look back at how tough started writing this series and do more of that.

Slightly better that the last two not as good as the first 3 in series

While it is sad that Travis Baldree couldn't narrate this one, it's still a good listen.

Still good after a change of narrator
