Grief and loneliness have been my closest friends for a year, and a change is long overdue. A walk down memory lane in my hometown sounds ideal to start letting go of this never-ending sorrow and try to meet again the carefree, happy girl I once was. But back in Texas, it's not that girl I meet first. Nate Bowers, president of the Chaos Chasers, is not a saint. He says so himself. As a pragmatic teacher, I should flee from that handsome man as fast as I can. But behind his hard exterior and primitive side, all I see in his brown eyes is a caring, gentle man he shows only to me.

Summary
Christy Nelson embarks on her new career in Real Estate by holding her first open house, at the wrong house, by accident, where she finds the nude sleeping body of a man.
Navy SEAL Kyle Lansdowne, on a mission to find his missing Team buddy, is staying at his buddy's home while investigating the disappearance. When someone breaks in, he takes protective measures. He doesn't expect to find that a beautiful young woman is responsible for his teammate's abduction.
What starts out as a meeting by accident becomes a hot affair neither one is ready for. Kyle is conflicted about getting Christy involved in his mission, but his hand is forced when he learns the same San Diego gang responsible for his teammate's abduction has kidnapped her.
Battling a cadre of dirty law enforcements hell-bent on getting military equipment, especially state-of-the-art firepower, Kyle is forced to admit that he would die to protect her.

Awful
All the elements are there, main characters, supporting characters, bit of action, sex BUT it doesn't gel. I don't think the narrator helps as he uses such inappropriate tones or inflections. Wasted credit.

Misleading Reviews & an AWFUL BOOK
I’m not sure what kind of Lorno the reviewers that have given this drivel anything above one star have been reading, but they need to get better books. This one is AWFUL. I don’t know where to begin, there’s so much to hate. I can’t believe I finished this worthless story; by chapter 7 I was ready to quit. I remembered some reviewers saying there were good action scenes, so I continued on. (There weren’t good action scenes, by the way, only mediocre ones.)
I guess I’ll begin with the female lead. Honestly, I cannot believe (or understand how) a woman wrote this book. Christy is one of the weakest, most annoying leading ladies I’ve ever read. I thought she was badass from the opening scene, but it was more than just downhill from there... it was off a cliff. She is a crybaby expecting a Navy Seal to say “I love you” after a one night stand and a goodbye f—- . Granted, he keeps coming around, but expecting any man to say I love you after a couple days and one date is too unbelievable for words. And she whines about it (internally) constantly! The author also writes in things like ‘she said in her best Marilyn Monroe voice.’ Who does that?!
The author needs to have friends and editors read the book before publication, people who will be honest with her so she can work out plot points like:
If Kyle told Christy to comply with the police, why didn’t she tell them about the guy that passed by the sauna. If Marla’s broken fingers were a “specialty” of the local gangs, why wouldn’t the police look in that direction? Why didn’t she tell Kyle about Marla being found dead? She thinks of Kyle as “the most handsome, wonderful guy she’d ever met” even after he drops her, AGAIN. What the hell? Madame offers her the business is San Francisco and Christy says there’s no future there? This storyline just blunders on and on.
Christy is fierce in the opening scene yet is wide-eyed and fearful when tied up by Caesar? Where is her fight? I would expect dirty looks, at least. Then the author writes she has been strong, not showing emotion...emotion she just wrote about. “All he had to do was love her and she would be healed,” such bullshit. Please excuse my language, but I am vomiting a little in my mouth at the pure drivel and excrement written by this author. Okay, and must she have the hooker heals on whilst being kidnapped?
And she says she has loved him since the first moment they met? What?! Oh my lord, this is just ridiculous.
The male lead, Kyle, handles everything wrong from the first chapter. Some of the storyline is too unbelievable here as well. There’s no way Kyle would tell a two-day lay anything about an on or off-the-books mission. It’s so obvious that the author doesn’t know anything about the military. Also, the police and Sheriff wouldn’t say anything specific to Christy. It’s all ridiculous. And why wouldn’t Kyle ask which officers had visited Christy?! He knows one is dirty, so why not ask and warn her?
Kyle knows nothing about Christy, yet the author writes profound statements about how she is his equal in every respect and perhaps greater than he in many. How could he possibly know this about her after three days and two nights together? It’s not like they talked much! And then during the rescue he gets turned on, “his package was rubbing against the steel of the 9mm.” Seriously?!
And who calls a vagina a PEACH?
And worse... a flipping proposal? I hate this book. I should have stopped at chapter 7.
Finally, the narrator. Ugh. Mispronunciation is such an annoyance that it makes it very difficult to continue listening. Armando is ‘Ar-mOn-do’ NOT ‘Ar-mAn-do’ no matter how it is spelled. That was SO FREAKING ANNOYING!!! Alfredo the Mexican-American was super annoying as well. The voice for him was so stereotypical even I (just a white girl) found it offensive; he also sounded like he was always whining. I loved Gunny though, he was hilarious. The French accent of Madame is also quite awful. Tom Bergeron in SF sounds like a creep. And Catsup? No matter if it is spelled like that it is still pronounced “Ketchup”.
Okay, so a bad book. Oh, worse than that, a waste of my time in my life that I will never get back and I hope to God I eventually forget.

Outstanding wonderful military read
What did you love best about Accidental SEAL?
The action, passion, humor, characters and the Narration. I was hooked from the start and did not want to stop.
What did you like best about this story?
I thought the author did an amazing job writing a wonderful tale that kept you interested. The Narrator did an amazing job giving voice to each character and bring them to life.
Have you listened to any of J. D. Hart’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No I have not had the pleasure but will be looking into more that he has narrated, He has an amazing wonderful voice that brings the characters to life.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
One passion filled story full of explosive action, gunfire, and lots of heat add some humor and hold on for the ride of your life.
Any additional comments?
All over review:
A story is full of suspense, romance, humor with lots of passion, action that will keep you wanting more. JD Hart brings so much to each character in his many different voices that will hold you spellbound, laughing and wanting more as he takes you on a journey to hunt and bring home a much loved military seal, why taking down the bad guys.
The author writes a compelling story that will keep you on the edge of your seats why the narrator takes you through the many different turns and twist to find a much loved military friend who is in need of help. Christy is caught in the middle as she falls hard for Kyle, Kyle is trying his best to do what is right and keep Christy out of it. Christy finds herself right in the middle not knowing who to trust and which way to turn.
This is a book full of passion, love, wants, and needs as they go on a mission to bring home one of their own from drug dealers who want more than drugs. I totally enjoyed and loved this story. The only issue I had with it was I expected Christy to be a more stronger character, she come on strong and then went weak but came back strong again. I just expected her to kick butt all through the book.
I would I recommend this audio, you bet. Would I read or listen to this book again you bet I would. This is a story I would enjoy reading again and again.

Best performance ever!!
I love audiobooks and yet haven't found one with a performance as awesome as this one! This is definitely one you don't want to miss!
Now the story, it is a very good story with tons of action. The only thing I couldn't stand is that it is insta-love and our female character seems weak. I am a person that loves a strong character that doesn't make everything so easy for the guy. This chick is all but I love you and takes it every time he leaves her. Sorry but no I absolutely wanted to slap the chick!!! If this story had been set over more time and they met before the big incident or even the feelings developed over time I would have definitely said five stars but the insta-love, timeframe, and overly needy feeling from the female leave me not being able to. Believe me if these issues I have don't bother you, there is no way you could not love this book. If you are like me, I have to say the performance alone is friggin worth it.

Sexy Miltary Read!!
Would you listen to Accidental SEAL again? Why?
I read the book but loved the audible version even more. Loved J.D. narration, it was perfect for the story.Accidental Seal was the first military book I have read. But I have to say it won't be the last. I will be quickly picking up the next book in the series. This book was not only sexy but it portrayed real feelings that we all conflict within ourselves at times. The way we feel for someone when we know we shouldn't but can't help but to be in love with them. I just loved this story and how Kyle and Christy were always there for each other even when the odds were against them. I found Sharon Hamilton's writing amazing. Her descriptive writing makes the reading experience even more realistic. It was action packed and full of smokin' hot love scenes. The attraction between the two main characters is undeniable. There was also plenty of humor and sarcasm to go around. This author has quickly become a favorite of mine, and I will definitely be reading more of her work.

I was gifted this audio ARC from the author for a honest and unbiased review
Navy Seals yum so authors tell us.
Book starts out interesting Christy Nelson walks into house that she's holding an open house. What does she find: Navy Seal Kyle Lansdowne playing with his gigantic member.
Somehow never a house showing my question was why did the bank take the house. There were a lot of times I was left hanging on one question or another.
I can say I did enjoy most parts of the book but there were a few spots I was willing to close it for some very dumb words.
J.D.Hart did a fab job reading.
Anyway I will recommend this book to anyone who loves navy seal books as long as you do realize you may question some of it.

Loved This One
Where does Accidental SEAL rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It ranks in the top percent edging toward the middle.
Who was your favorite character and why?
There were too many. I loved Cooper, Fredo, their Boss, Kyle, the detective, and the shop owner. They were all so engaging and their interactions made the story moved forward smoothly. When the main characters have great normal interactions with the secondary characters it makes it more like life.
Which character – as performed by J. D. Hart – was your favorite?
All of them. He does a wonderful job with each character. He is one of my favorite narrators. Notice I did not say favorite but one of them. Any book so far that I have listened that he narrated has been better for him being included.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes, when the manager of the realty office called and gave Christy's address away then hung up and immediately knew that he had made a mistake. But there are no do-overs in life. That is why we have to think before we act.
Any additional comments?

Delicious Narration... and SEAL... to Indulge In.
I usually mention the narrator at the end but JD Hart is an exception. And also exceptional! His voice is seductive and his performance works well for these rough and tough Seals.
Accidental Seal was a good military story with action from the very beginning. The initial encounter between the two main characters was humorous but I wish the insta-love thing didn’t happen. Perhaps if the time lapse was greater, the emotional connection could have grown more organically. When they connected, thier chemistry was off the charts. Unfortunately, the back-and-forth breaking up made the heroine appear weak. A Seal needs a strong woman. Still despite either of these small issues, I enjoyed this story. It was sexy, suspenseful and total entertainment. I recommend you indulge.

Wonderful to find a series to love
Really liked the independent heroine who went after what she wanted. She proved to be what the hero couldn't resist.
Great narrator.
Liked the development of the secondary characters. They were not just there for the sake of the plot but had depth.
