Summary

A sizzling, sexy contemporary romance novel

My head is pounding. Yawning, I rub my hands over my face, and I’m surprised by the shiny gold band on my left ring finger. What the....

I’m Mac.

But you know that, right?

You probably even recognize the sound of my voice....

Because I’m the radio host that wakes up most of Sacramento every morning. The DJ that most of the women in Sacramento lust after.

Everyone knows me, knows my reputation. Ladies’ man, bad boy, eternally single commitment-phobe.

I have my own reasons for needing to stay single, my own demons to battle with. Scars that don’t show, but that stop me from getting close to anyone.

Except, after one hell of a drunken accident, I’ve woken up married. To a gorgeous green-eyed girl, Kelley, who I only met yesterday in a coffee shop.

A killer hangover later, it turns out that this playboy is off the market. The only question is...for how long? Because no girl has ever been able to change my ways - and who says that Kelley is going to be any different?

This is a full-length, stand-alone romance with some hot-under-the-collar action, no cheating, and a guaranteed HEA. For fans of R.S. Grey, Whitney G., and Vi Keeland, Accidental Groom features a sexy AF alpha and a steamy will-they-won't-they love story that will have you completely hooked.

Average - predictable

This book was very average. Very predictable. I had a hard time finishing this book because I knew what was coming before it happened. Plus her words (thoughts) and actions seemed to contradict themselves. For example, she talked about having a big vocab, using big words. Not even in her thoughts did she use big words. Would have been a good one if it wasn't the same as so many other books.

Good Story, fantastic narrattion

First of all I think it's really important to highlight what a fantastic narrattion this book have. I haven't listened to Kelsey Navarro before and it was a nice surprise finding that she is a really good narrattor. Her voice is so easy to listen, her intonation, cadence, different voices for each character, where pretty good. Besides her male voice is also great, and it made listening to this book a great experience.

As for the book, I really liked it, the story is one of insta love/attraction though neither of them were aware of that at the moment or weren't able to admit it. Mac was a  great character, I like the way he is with Kelly, attentive, protective, and how he kind of freaked out when he realized how fast things with her were going and how deep his feelings for her were. Kelly was really stubborn even for her own good, I really rolled my eyes at her several times. But she's also sweet, committed, and have gone through a lot.

The secondary characters also helped to enhance the story. I hope we get a story for Mac's sister.

Overall it was a good book with a story that catches your attention from the beginning and it's really easy to listen.

Great characters, enjoyable story, ace narration

My first time listening to Kelsey Navarro and I really enjoyed her narration. I settled into the book before I'd even thought about it. And I knew who was who without it having to be said. Total bonus.

This story is thoroughly enjoyable. I love the connection between the two main characters. The story is great and full of emotion. I loved listening to how their relationship moved both forwards and backwards. And I really love knowing the story from both sides, often before they know it themselves. I'm kinda sad the book ended and I have to leave these characters behind.

Accidental Groom

Mac is a local morning DJ that no one takes relationship serious. He's presented to the public as a womanizer and a good time boy with a drinking problem. But Mac is not quite what his job portrays him as. Mac has a big heart and he can't help his feelings for the girl at the coffee shop crying her eyes out. He must meet her but hopefully under better circumstances. This is a great story about Kelly and Mac's Journey and you can't help but feel for these too. The narration by Kelsey Navarro was fantastic and really brought the story to life and she was very easy to listen to. Thanks for the recommendation Audiobook addiction.

Wow

I know I say it frequently, but I did really enjoy this book. The way things ended up was epic, but the story and the struggle to get there was even better. Dana did an awesome job in creating this story and Kelsey did a wonderful job bringing the book to life.

Gotta Appreciate Reformed Playboys

Audiobook review. 3.5 stars. Mac is the typical reformed playboy and Kelley the pretty lady that makes him want to change his ways. I enjoyed the story. It was straightforward and there weren’t any real surprises, which is what the rating is attributed to.

The characters were definitely flawed with some growth to show for story progression. They had a good connection and the sexy times were well done. The plot was solid though a bit predictable. I found the ending to be really sweet.

The narrator, Kelsey Navarro, did a good job with her pace, tone, and pitch. She was clear and transitioned well between genders. I was quite impressed by her male voice.

Enjoyed the storyline.

I picked this book based on the blurb and the comments Whitney G fans would like this one. The story itself is entertaining. And I could definitely tell why it is recommended to a certain fan base. I had problems with the narrator, and was confused many times as to which character or gender was speaking. It unfortunately distracted and took away from my listening enjoyment. Her voice itself is pleasant to listen too, but I had difficulties in this book.

What happens in Reno...

Kelley is a struggling student overcoming a tragic past and life keeps finding new ways to deal her a crappy hand. Mackenzie is a Morning show DJ at the top of his game. He has a player persona, buckets of money and is in the process of leaving his partying lifestyle in the past.

The pair have an instant spark and there is sexual tension for days. Both characters are incredibly likable. And you can’t help but root for them from minute one. There is enough backstory and drama to keep you interested in what will happen next.

I would recommend this book for anyone into contemporary romance/steamy romance, protective alpha types and HEAs.

Lovely romance

A sweet story about two scarred souls finding together in a surprising way. The road to happiness is not easy but worth it.
Great storyline that builds up nicely to a happy ending.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Lots of dialogues
Characters is well described and feels familiar at the end and I like that very much.
This was romantic, sweet, steamy and agonising at times, I enjoyed it very much.

Narrator read with feelings and had clear pronunciation. At times I felt like the voice was a little high pitching but most of the time I enjoyed it.

Emotional Love Story with Suprising Twists

I really enjoyed the emotional depth of Mac and Kelley’s story. I wish it hadn't been advertised as a rom-com because except for the premise of an accidental drunken wedding the story is pretty serious and dramatic! These are two broken people with tons of baggage who find each other and possibly love!? They are realistic and loveable! I cheered them on the entire time! I look forward to more by this author.
Biggest audiobook complain--there was one female narrator and it is a dual POV! I wish they would have had a male narrator too! It would have added to the story. I find myself reading on my kindle then listening.

Excellent Audible book and story

Both the author and narrator are new to me. I am happy to say I have found another author that I like and will follow. This story has so much more depth and emotions to it than just a couple gets drunk and gets married in Vegas.

Mac is in a coffee shop when he sees Kelly outside crying. He does not approach her then. Days later when he sees her in the coffee shop he starts talking to her. There is an instant chemistry between them . He invites her to go with him to a convention in Vegas. She needs to get away from home so she accepts.

Thus begins a story containing addiction, betrayal, loss, instant attraction, comedy, understanding, forgiveness, a liking that grows into an intense love, and steamy love scenes. The narrator did a good job of taking the words and making the listener a part of the story.

I volunteered to receive this Audible book in exchange for an honest review. I highly recommend this book. The attraction of Mac and Kelly will grip you from the beginning. The compassion that they show for each other is very endearing. This is one of those I will read just on more chapter before I stop books.

Very good

Both Dana Mason and narrator Kelsey Navarro were new to me.

This was a story that pulled me in and kept me engaged right from the start. The narration was good and certainly enhanced my enjoyment of the story.

This was a sweet, romantic story that had quite a few laugh out loud moments but was also at times an emotional roller coaster.

What happens when two equally damaged souls collide? They go on a weekend away and wind up married, now the big question is what happens next?

Can Mac and Kelley help each other to come to terms with the tragedies in their pasts and in turn create a future together?

I really liked Mac’s need to protect Kelley and it was obvious well before he acknowledged his feelings that he had fallen for Kelley.

The chemistry between them is intense and feelings grow, but do they want the same things? Or will miss communication threaten Mac and Kelley’s chance to finally get the happily ever after they both deserve?

Accidental Groom

This was such a great read. I want to say it was a fun read but I feel like that would take away from some of the big topics that happened throughout. I love the way that Dana Mason had these problems - addiction, alcoholism, grief, loss, etc. - worked into the story, kept the topics serious but light. A lot of authors use big topics but keep them in the background and make them unimportant. Mason made these topics big parts of the book without making the book too serious or dramatic. The story line itself was unique and not something that was overplayed. They each have hurt in their past that they are trying to move on from, and I don't think either was able to really heal until they met each other and were able to let go of the past.

Mac is a radio DJ and sees Kelley outside of a Starbucks in devastated tears. He waned to help her and protect her but wasn't sure how. A week later he sees her again at the same Starbucks and asks her out to lunch. One thing leads to another and he invites her to a Comedy Festival he is MC'ing over the weekend. Before the weekend is over they wake up married and with a hangover, and everything after that changes.

Great story

When McKenzie sees Kelly crying he’s immediately drawn to her in a way that’s magnetic... so their story starts. It’s a wonderful listen. The narration is good though at times it gets kind of high in pitch. I still really enjoyed it. Recommend

Oops did I do that!

Oops did I do that! Accidental Groom. On one hand you have a woman betrayed by her best friend and ex. The other hand you have a relationship phobic. A nice twist on the 'Accidental' Groom. They actually know each other BEFORE they get married! Good flow, interesting and hot! My only flaw was, I felt it needed a male and a female narrator. When there is a POV for both, you kind of need both. Don't get me wrong, Kelsey Navarro did a fine job.
