God, it was tedious. And, quite frankly, depressing. Which is the last thing she needed. What she did need was a therapist who would listen and offer a wellness strategy catered to her specific needs. What she got was advice to watch a few YouTube videos and a cheerful reminder that 'it could be worse'.

Flipping Incredible

Summary
You Are About To Find Out How To Leverage The Power Of Acceptance And Commitment Therapy To Experience A Massive Transformation In Your Levels Of Happiness And Satisfaction In Life!
Life has many ups and downs; times of plenty, times of lack, times of happiness, times of sorrow, etc. But even when we know these are the cycles of life, we are hell bent to achieve happiness; a level of satisfaction in life where we don’t have to worry, be angry with people, and just live life on our terms.
What’s interesting in that when we don’t achieve our definition of happiness, we are stressed, disappointed, frustrated, and unsatisfied with our life in general. And as you can guess, stress, anxiety, depression, anger, chronic fatigue, and all manner of health problems follow closely!
One funny thing about us humans is that even when we achieve things we once desired so much, we soon shift our goal posts and want something bigger, better, and grander - we are just never fully satisfied no matter what we achieve.
I know you are wondering....
Is there any other way of living besides worrying all the time, getting stressed, anxious, disappointed, or even angry almost all the time in response to the ups and downs of life?
Is there a way you can achieve lasting satisfaction in life to effectively deal with our worries, fears, anxieties, disappointments, etc?
YES there is.
And this other way is adopting the acceptance and commitment therapy!
Imagine being able to accept everything that life throws at you calmly and not letting your emotions dictate your responses. Just think of how many relationships you would save, how many hours you would save that you otherwise would have wasted ruminating on what happened.
Wouldn’t it be life changing?
I know it would be.
Do you wish to adopt that approach to everyday problems in life? Do you wish to still be able to put a poker face in the midst of trying moments? Do you wish to have some superhuman level of controlling your emotions no matter what?
If you answered YES, keep reading....
This audiobook has the A-Z of acceptance and commitment therapy to help you use it to transform your life. If you are wondering what ACT is, what it involves, how it works, the scientific backing behind it, how to apply it in your everyday life, and much more, this audiobook will take you by the hand to transform your life.
More precisely, you will learn:
- The basics of ACT, including what it is all about, its history, how it works, the principles that guide ACT, and more
- How the ACT approach will help you if you suffer from anxiety, depression, anger attacks, and panic
- The place of mindfulness in maximizing the effectiveness of ACT
- Six key processes of psychological flexibility and ACT, including why this should matter in your quest towards change
- How an understanding of the functioning of your mind will make you use ACT more effectively
- How to foster the willingness to accept a painful experience
- When you should see a specialist
- And much more!
Even if this is your first encounter with ACT, this audiobook will elevate your knowledge of the subject to a level where you feel you can confidently talk about it like a pro!

This sounds like a satnav reading shuffled and mistranslated word salad, badly. The words seem in the wrong order: many sentences don’t make sense at all. Emphasis is misplaced. There is no sign whatsoever that the reader understood a word - or indeed any words. Absolutely dreadful: I would give no stars if the app would let me.

I'm a college graduate. I've been in the recovery world for 35 years. This book is so bizarrely obscure. It really makes me distrust the authenticity of all the five star reviews. This book came out a few days ago and already
over 75 people rated it highly. I'm having a hard time believing it. This book is published by Audible. Hmmmm. I will amend this review if I change my mind after finishing the book. ACT involves a new way of looking at the mind and the process of change. I have listened to parts of this book over and over, and each time I go a little deeper into this new way of thinking. The book teaches you how to live with your symptoms of anxiety, depression and other problems and not be ruled by them. It teaches you to step back in the mind and practice mindful ways of dealing with serious mental problems. I highly recommend this book.
