Saving the dead isn’t as simple as promised. It was supposed to be a standard routine...that is, until we discovered that I was the first Soldier of Light to receive visions of the souls’ worst sins. The very sins that put them in the Dark Realm with the devil. Sins that are unforgivable.
Hayden, my sexy guardian angel, tells me there are consequences if I don’t save these lost souls. But how do I save souls that have committed such despicable acts, especially when I have to live through their death in order for them to move on?
To make matters even more complicated, the devil believes he sees a darkness in me that matches his own. And to tell you the truth, I fear he may be right. Because, each soul I must save makes me despise the world I’m forced to live in even more.
The one silver lining keeping me grounded is Hayden, until I come face-to-face with a secret he’s kept from me since the beginning.

I really love the voice of the narrator, and the mixture of the duo's dynamics woven into the progress that Evika is making - without forgetting this is a young woman, adapting to a hidden world with a serious moral dilemma when it comes to freeing those repentant souls.
Another fabulous book/audio book!

Evika ups and moves across country to the house she bought Hayden goes with her and life seems better until it doesn’t .
Evika finds out she has another power to manipulate the elements it works off her emotions and she needs to learn to control it. Her nightmares are getting more intense and Luca recommends one of the elders make her a dream catcher although that doesn’t turn out quite how it’s supposed to and the devil still enters her nightmares/dreams.
Things between Evika and Hayden start to heat up life seems to be good for them both that is until there’s a knock at the door and Evika comes face to face with a secret the guardians have been keeping from her.
Loved this second book and the new narrator was perfect I enjoyed her better than the first.
Excellent second instalment

We learn more about Evika and I thoroughly enjoyed the slow burn between her and Hayden. And just when you think you've got it figured out, plot twist!
There was a narrator change and it takes some time in the beginning before she finds her groove and becomes less robotic. Once that happened, I enjoyed listening to her more than the other narrator.
Better than the first installment

It's a great series so far, with a great storyline, even better characters. I would definitely recommend listening to this as not only the story but the narration was great too.
Great Listen
