Summary

Abnormal Psychology focuses on the origins of abnormal behavior and its evolution into a scientific principle. The theoretical models of mental illness will be discussed along with the components of anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, and eating disorders. Lifespan development can contribute to the interpretation of abnormal behavior. Different concepts will be discussed relating to abnormal psychology including marriage, family, and religion. Abnormal behavior may be in existence since the beginning of mankind yet its study is barely over 100 years.

Not Abnormal Psychology

It is an overview of psychology in general rather than on topic of abnormal psychology. If you are professional don't waste your time and money, you will find it a big pile of psychology topics mixed together. However if you are casual reader you might find it interesting.

Author has no qualifications

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Any additional comments?

You might as well just read Hansell & Damour (2008), the introductory psychology textbook from which this completely unqualified and thoroughly self-absorbed author quotes very heavily. Anyone who wasted their time on this will appreciate this point

Don't waste your time on this drivel from the esteemed graduate of the University of Phoenix.
