A bit Creepy

Sorry, but I'm familiar with ASRM and soundscapes but this was, particularly the tailor, weird and creepy and the end of the tailor is really sinister and had the opposite of sending me to sleep. The actual sounds of the paper rustling etc was very restful, it's the freaky whispering and the two different volume levels that put me off.Had to delete it so I couldn't listen to it by accident again!

Need nightmares!?! This is perfect!

TBH i only downloaded this as the reviews were amusing and wanted to see if it really could be so bad!

Its worse! subject matter of the first episode and the narrators voice are terrifying. 50 shades of WTF!

If this helps you sleep you need help

Just awful

It feels like you are being groomed by a paedophile. I found it really discomforting to hear the heavy breathing and guttural sounds as the narrator spoke.

No thanks!

Sinister whispering

Just so weird. Can’t imagine who would find this relaxing, but I’m sure some people do. It was my first experience of ASMR and I’m now off to read about it and find out whether the sinister whispering is an integral part of it or just something weird they’ve chosen to do here.

The reviewer who mentioned grooming really made me laugh and I can’t help agreeing. Though it also reminded me of The Blair Witch Project.

Love Live ASMR!

I have long been a fan of ASMR and I am so happy to see it in a more main stream setting. It is either something you get or you don't but for those of us who do it is amazing. If you like everyday sounds such as the hairdryer, paper, typing and fabric rustling then it's worth a try. By focusing on the sounds it helps calm down your thoughts and if you are lucky enough to experience the tingles it will open up a whole new world in relaxation!

Relaxing

I've never heard of ASMR but it's a terrific way of slowing the mind when you're trying to get off to sleep. It totally takes you out of your worries as you're delved into a relaxing sensation of sounds and descriptions. Very sensual and relaxing. Loved it.

Creepily amusing...

If you want the experience of being held captive in a basement by a 'stationery-obsessed-ex-Paperchase-employee-serial-
killer', may I suggest this.....?

Amazing Experience

WOW - never heard of ASMR but these broadcasts are amazing! SO relaxing, I am quite sensitive so the 'tingling' comes easy for me. More like this please Audible.

Weird and disturbing

I'm pretty sure this wasn't the intention, but it had shades of 50 Shades. Creepy shades.

The listener gets sent to an office and has their *homework* checked by the narrator (boss? teacher? sex line operator?), and there's some borderline fetishistic description of fairly random stuff he's keeping in his office, and we do admin. He has what sounds like a really old inkjet printer, and a thing about stationery.

He's talking slowly, low in the register, and slurring some of his consonants; I think it's meant to be relaxing, but it made my hindbrain deeply uncomfortable. I'm going to have nightmares about a Dom with a secretary fantasy spiking my water now.
