Story
Maggie hasn't told this story in years. More than two decades ago, she fell in love. She was 16 and far from home, waiting to give her baby up for adoption. Bryce showed Maggie how to take photographs, and he didn't judge her for the way her belly swelled under her jumper. They had the perfect first kiss. Theirs was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of love. Now, as Maggie sits by the Christmas tree in her gallery telling her story, surrounded by the photographs that made her famous - the photographs Bryce never saw - her new gallery assistant asks her a question.

I'm going to utter the words I thought I never would
The film was so much better than the book. The film worked on a melodramatic level - the book was just plain sappy and made me slightly nauseous ... It was just a little too formulaic and you could see the twist a mile off ...

A Great Book
I was a little scepticle about getting this book thinking it might be just a boring love story and drag out. Someone told me that it was good, so I decided to give it a shot and as it turns out it was one of the best books I've read (or heard). Great story about the human spirit and how things in life can change you forever. Get this one!!

This is one of the nicest stories that I have ever heard or read. The fact that the author read it made the story more enjoyable. He has a very pleasant, soothing voice. Usually biblical references in books are awkward for me. I am not of the same religious faith, nor am I religious at all. This story touched me in a way that very many others have not. It is not a demanding story on the listener/reader, but causes you to examine the way things happen and why.

Not just for chicks...
I don't normally read these love story types of novels... however this was the exception. I got the novel for my wife to listen to and so I kind of previewed it (how does one preview an audio book?). I got hooked, it was one of the best books I have read (heard) in quite a while, and I read a lot of books. Exceptional love story told very well by the author himself. A must have for your collection.

A Tearjerker...
You'll probably need Kleenex during the final chapter or two. I enjoyed this straight forward story of love, family and forgiveness. The bible and its teachings plays an important role in this story. Although the Listener can surmise the ending of this story, it didn't take away from the enjoyment of the story in any way.
The author read this story and I think he did a wonderful job. I recommend if you are looking from a simple, straight forward story that doesn't have too many characters to keep sorted out.
