Annother winner from Katie Fforde
Each year me and my mum look forward to the new Katie Fforde coming out and this year was no different.
Funny, witty in places and really cheerful with a few twists and turns. Lovely story with all three girls being lovable with different and interlinking plots.

Good story but wrong narration
The narration is very frustrating, nice enough voice but.. In the nicest way... Too old for the characters. Plus the accents are ridiculous and make the characters seem simple. It's a shame as its resulted in me buying the book to read to avoid the awful character voices.

Good Story - Poor Narration
Where does A Vintage Wedding rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I really enjoyed the story but felt that the voices the narrator used made the characters sound a lot old than any of them actually were
Any additional comments?
Reluctant to purchase a book read by Jilly Bond again

Couldn't finish it. Narration was grating
I have tried a few times to get passed the first 3 chapters. The narrator was the wrong choice. her voice is far too old for the young characters and it really is irritating. The story has potential if I could get past the voice. Listen to the sample before purchasing!!!!!

Likeable story ruined by narration.
Would you listen to A Vintage Wedding again? Why?
No. There is little depth in it. On to the next.
What other book might you compare A Vintage Wedding to, and why?
Nearly all Katie Fforde's books are written on similar lines. Young woman finds herself living in village, a bit down at luck. She usually finds some way to discover or practise her creative or entrepreneurial skills. She meets a man and after a little bit of conflict, she ends up with him. In this book, we have 3 women for the price of one. It's a winning formula; I've read nearly all of them.
What three words best describe Jilly Bond’s performance?
Ruined the book (almost).
Any additional comments?
Jilly Bond is a competent and prolific narrator. But she's wrong for chicklit. She's way too chirpy overall, and in contrast makes the male love-interests sound so unappealing (oafish and lumpen). I think she just doesn't engage with the feel of the story. Publishers clearly disagree. She's done a few Katie Ffordes. I've noticed a few Veronica Henrys coming up in my library which I suspect she's spoiled, too.

Ok book... awful narrator
The story was lovely, fluffy and easy going. I enjoyed it well enough. The Narrator however sounded SOOOOOOOO OLD!! I've heard her before in another book and struggled with her voice as a 41 year old as she sounds like her 50's, but in this book she's 2 girls in her early 20's and one in her mid 30's and it REALLY does not work at all!! I struggled a lot to set that aside and enjoy the writing... which in itself was ok.

Highly recommended
Katie Fford at her usual best. Romantic and witty, but also excellently read by Jilly Bond. Highly entertaining. I want to listen or read it again.

Ok, a little predictable
A Vintage Wedding, was ok, a little predictable. Nice, sweet, maybe a little sickly in parts, and repetition of the obvious.
