Wanted! A caretaker for Roundhouse Row holiday cottages.

Where? Nelson’s Bar is the perfect little village. Nestled away on the Norfolk coast, we can offer you no signal, no Wi-Fi and - most importantly - no problems!

Who? The ideal candidate will be looking for an escape from their cheating scumbag ex-fiancé, a diversion from their entitled cousin and a break from their traitorous friends.

What you’ll get! Accommodation in a chocolate-box cottage, plus a summer filled with blue skies and beachside walks. Oh, and a reunion with the man of your dreams.

Please note: We take no responsibility for any of the above scumbags, passengers and/or traitors walking back into your life....

Thoroughly Excellent in Every Regard

Sue Moorcroft at her best and ably narrated by Sophie Aldred. This is a book you won't want to put down, but at the same time, you won't want it to come to an end. You can't help but root for the well-drawn characters and will be completely taken into their world. I even found myself wanting to go and visit their little corner of England.

Rather predictable

I’d not read this author before and found the story rather uninspiring, the ‘Are you Ok?s’ repetitive.

Easy listening.

This book was easy listening and enjoyable but slow an first.
I found the story line to be mainly a love story and for me that meant too much romance and not enough of a good plot.
Worth listening to especially if you don't want anything complicated.

Stupendous

What a wonderful journey from Kings Lynn to Hunstanton and Brancaster. My first six years in Brancaster followed by 12 years in kings Lynn. This book bought me extra special joy.

Apart from my nostalgia this was a great novel. Not a jot of soppiness but great topics covered in a sensitive but honest way.
Would I listen again yes this is my second listening of it.

I wouldn’t describe it as a feel good story line but an honest exploration of life love and living with and without people. Finding out who you truly love and what happens if you drink three bottles of wine in a short space of time 😂😂
