Summary

Sherlock Holmes is an unparalleled genius. Warlock Holmes is an idiot.

A font of arcane power, certainly. But he’s brilliantly dim. Frankly, he couldn’t deduce his way out of a paper bag. The only thing he has really got going for him are the might of a thousand demons and his stalwart companion.

Thankfully, Dr. Watson is always there to aid him through the treacherous shoals of Victorian propriety...and save him from a gruesome death every now and again.

Performed by Scott McCormick, Eric Messner, Patrick Bussink, David Jourdan, Matthew Keenan, Yasmin Tuazon, Jonathan Feuer, Bradley Smith, David Coyne, Steven Carpenter, Chris Davenport, Dani Stoller, Richard Rohan, Matthew Schleigh, Michael Glenn, Peter Holdway, Eva Wilhelm, Michael John Casey, Lolita Horne, Laura C Harris, Andy Clemence, Colleen Delany, Eleanor Todd, Jillian Levine-Sisson, Ken Jackson, Nanna Ingvarsson, Terence Aselford, Todd Scofield, Rose Elizabeth Supan, Mort Shelby.

Great story, voice acting misses the mark

The voice actors are mocking UK voices and it made very uncomfortable, insulting listening. Why would the director do that? Do US listeners really find that funny? The comedy in the books is perfect, but surely the author can't have intended to parody British voices. I love the books, but i won't listen to any more of these insulting, careless productions.

Very unique take on classic characters

Take this book with a pinch of salt but it’s some of the most delicious, fun and hysterical versions of characters we have grown to love. Watson has his moments which I love and the creativity behind adapting the characters is brilliant.

Hard to understand. Incidental noises and music

This audio work has several performers and lots of incidental noises like cutlery and traffic. The result being an unintelligible dialogue. It's the first audiobook that needs subtitles.

Possibly the reviews are left by younger listeners with excellent hearing

Totally brilliant characters

I love this team of actors who do these series of audible dramatisations . I laughed so much as each tale unfolded . My favourite was John Watson . Can’t wait for more
