Summary

The military has developed a revolutionary new design for an electromagnetic pulse weapon. A test engineer begins testing the weapon and makes a mistake, exposing his brain to a powerful magnetic pulse. He begins to have blackouts that last for days and has no idea what happens during his blackouts. He goes to a doctor and gets a brain scan. The doctor finds something shocking about his brain that explains the blackouts. He tells him that his condition can't be corrected and that he will have to live with it. Then something happens during a blackout that will haunt him for the rest of his life....
