the story has a solid A plot with a conspiracy of murderers and with the B plot, brings the lore ( always the best part of this series) up and moves it forwards. the performance is warm and engaging without blunting the unease and horror.

I always look forward to a new Charlie Parker book and this one did not disappoint.
Various themes all weave together with humour and wonderful insightful comments on the way we live.

Once again, I try to pace myself but then cannot help myself and rush to listen to the book every free minute. It helps that the narration is superb, as Jeff Harding never disappoints, and of course the story is fantastic as always. Only negative point: now that I'm finished listening I have to wait for the next book for one year!
