Scandals, seduction and secrets… and one woman’s quest to uncover the truth

Wallflower Lady Mary Montagu Douglas Scott has a secret. Moving effortlessly unnoticed amongst the ballrooms and palaces of Queen Victoria, her sharp intelligence and keen powers of observation allow her to quietly solve society crimes – coming to the rescue of those whose pride and fortune are at stake.

Overlooked and underestimated, Mary finds missing money, recovers stolen jewellery and saves reputations. When she meets Colonel Walter Trefusis, an unlikely and spirited alliance is formed. But Mary has more than met her match in her sleuthing partner. As she battles the expectations of society and her family, Mary must follow her heart – whatever the cost…

This had me gripped from the start to the very end.It was so engaging and you just wanted to listen to more and more. I’ve just downloaded her earlier novel I’m that impressed. The narration was perfect and really suited the book. I can highly recommend this as a must listen. I’ve listened over a period of 24 hours on and off. Wish I could reward higher. Thank you you beautiful strong lady x

Loved it, especially the historical notes at the end explaining the fact vs fiction relationships and the setting. Can’t wait for the next one.

Really enjoyed this second book by Sarah Ferguson Duchess of York. Her narration along with Ell Potter was excellent. As much as I loved this book, I am so glad that females have advanced over the years. But loved the gentry style of life from my armchair all the same. I am sure I will get book number 3 when it comes out. I would recommend this book

Another enjoyable book
