There's a fine line between the genres of crime and horror fiction and there are stories that walk the tightrope of that thin line, like a trapeze artist walking the high wire without a net, teetering precariously high above the roaring crowd. Then again there are some crime stories that are also horror stories, the stuff that nightmares are made of. A Dark Place is one of them...

A Dark Place is the horrific story of a loathsome serial killer and the disconcerted homicide detective tasked to track him down, told by someone who knows police work and how it affects the psyche over time. The hunter and the hunted, each in his own way, have descended into darkness.

Eleştirmen yorumları

"Quintin Peterson writes with authenticity and honesty won from years of being a street cop, and in his chilling A Dark Place, he takes readers past the boring CSI or 'profiling' of a serial killer to show us the heart and soul of the badges who bring such monsters to justice." (James Grady, author of Mad Dogs and Six Days of the Condor)

What disappointed you about A Dark Place?

A five year old could have written this. No depth at all.

What could Quintin Peterson have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Make it seven hours longer and give the characters some breadth.

How could the performance have been better?

Change the narrator.

What character would you cut from A Dark Place?

did not get know any of the characters well enough to say.

Any additional comments?

i think Audible should somehow highlight a book that is not a book but a very, very short story. In future I will check and check again the length of time before using a credit.

Do not waste a credit on this one.
