Very good book on public speaking

I liked that this book started from the beginning in admitting that most people are afraid of public speaking and therefore view it as an extremely daunting process. The author has used this starting point and knowledge to give practical help to you if that is your starting position.

Good to listen to the night before

There are some little gems that can really turn your mindset around in this book. I liked the tip that said being in front of a crowd gives you the power as they have to listen to you! It's also a privilege. Some of it is just common sense but then when you're public speaking and getting jittery it can be hard to hold onto common sense. Having the obvious made explicit can be very useful and the mindset changing tips might just reframe your speech into an opportunity for you rather than something you dread. Well worth listening to the night before a speech or presentation as it's only short but packed with useful tidbits.

Great for stage fright

These tips were great for my stage fright at work. I get extremely nervous when speaking and giving presentations to a full room or a large crowd of clients, but unfortunately it's part of my job. I'm just glad I found this book because the tips are great and I can already see some of them working, when talking to a limited number of people in an official capacity. Can't wait to see how it's going to work when bigger events are back!

Great book for public speakers and others

I got this this book hoping to get some tips for speaking/recording videos to post on my FB group and website for my business.

I tend to speak quite fast and without much preparation as I always think, I know the subject so I don't need to make notes...I end up fumbling and tripping over my words and then have to re record the videos many times over before I'm happy to post them.

I'm so glad I got this book, as its given me lots of reminders of the things I already knew and also new tips such as using different facial expressions to keep your audience engaged, be passionate about what you are presenting, and most important, be honest and confident so that your audience believes what you are saying.

Great book for everyone needing tips on talking in front of people whether it's a small group or a room full.

Gave me confidence!

This is the perfect audio if you are new to public speaking or have been doing it for a while. I have been public speaking for years but I still get butterflies and have never felt like I've mastered it. The author gives great advice and alot of the tips I had never thought of before. The narrator also has a great voice and excellent pacing. Highly recommend.

A Helpful Resource!

As a teacher, I find the book as a needed resource. Most students find it very challenging to speak in public, and the book gives helpful strategies that I can apply to help out. The methods are easy to use, especially during speaking and listening sessions at school. It does inspire and motivates timid ones, to begin with, and remove the fear of speaking. I’ll use it to turn my students into great speakers.
