Why sell arms to Scotland?

A bit disjointed in places still it's not a bad little yarn, not sure whether or not I will bother to get the other 2 books, but I probably will eventually . One of the plot points has the evil company selling arms to Scotland, is this something we should be more aware off, are the Scots planning something? It did make me chuckle

Great premise, slow delivery

I was a little disappointed with this book. It had a lot of great reviews deeming it terrifying and creepy as hell, and it started off that way with a really intense opening, but then it mellowed out and got really slow for the middle section of the book. At times I thought I was reading a broken-home romance drama until brief scenes came along that reminded me of the main plot of the book. The ending was great, but I felt it's intensity and excitement came a little too late. I didn't hate this book, but I feel it just didn't deliver enough. The narration was great and Vanessa Johansson kept me as interested in the slow parts as I could be, but the book itself just wasn't paced right for my liking.
