Summary

She’s a daughter he doesn’t know he has. Until she calls him...from death row.

From USA Today best-selling author John Ellsworth comes another book so thrilling the pages all but turn themselves. A stand-alone novel.

Michael Gresham meets his lost daughter, Cache, in her prison cell. She is scheduled for execution in 30 days. Her other lawyers have given up; there is nothing left to do. On a hunch, Michael reviews ancient records. He is astonished at what he finds. He goes before the appeals court. The lawyers at the other table hammer him; the judges pursue him. He leaves with a heavy heart. With gathering speed, the days tick past.

30 Days of Justis is the story of a frantic father who happens to be a lawyer - but is he lawyer enough to save his child? Will there be a last minute call? Or is he in Cache's life only as the last face she sees before it goes dark? A psychological thriller? Yes, definitely. A legal thriller? Yes, definitely. And so much more.

"Most engaging legal thriller of 2018 - destined to become number on on Amazon best sellers charts. John Ellsworth has written the definitive novel about a young woman on death row in Washington State. She is 28 years old and knows only that she has a father she's never met. His name is Michael Gresham. He is a lawyer." (American Institute for Justice)

"This is the first John Ellsworth novel this reader has explored. It is so convincingly written - not only the spot on legal aspects, but also the fascinating characters he paints and involves in his complex plot - that it serves as a fine aperitif for his output. This man writes very well indeed." (San Francisco Review of Books)

One of the BEST in the series...

I enjoy the Michael Gresham books by John Ellsworth so much! I'm always sorry when they come to the end. And the narration by Stephen Hoye is top notch.
The one thing you will find with this series is that for the most part the plot is generally plausible. The story itself or how it gets from beginning to end is generally not believable and requires the reader/listener to put that part of your brain away! You know, the part that says "yeah right, like that could really happen!" No, in the real world the way this book is written the story could never happen. So, I would suggest just listening and enjoying it because this is a super fast paced legal thriller with so many ups and downs as each new lead is followed but doesn't help Gresham's daughter on death row.
The publisher's summary gives enough detail about this story I really don't want to give any more information. I actually found myself getting choked up towards the end, this is a rarity.
If you have kindle unlimited this book is $1.99!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

One of the best of the Gresham series!

30 DAYS OFF JUSTIS, Book 9 and the most recent legal thriller in the Michael Gresham series, finds Gresham with an adult daughter he did not know about. That daughter is is on death row in Washington state with all appeals exhausted and with 30 days until execution.

30 Days Of Justis

Mr. Ellsworth tells good stories. Some readers may find the father\daughter emotional hook a little over described, but this is still a good tale and worth the time spent reading. I'm going to read more of his work.

Great book. Almost 5 stars.

Love this author and this was a particularly good book. I had to withhold one star because of the tired and cliché racial stereotypes that so many authors seem compelled and obligated to utilize. Totally unnecessary and I found it a distraction. Still, a good read.

30 Days of Justis

This was an interesting story in that I wonder how many cases like this are not made right by appellate courts and wrongful death matters are not resolved in time. Good storyline

<br />Not bad... not great either.

I struggled with how rushed and forced this one felt. It seemed as if we were being subjected to an ethics lesson rather than a piece of fiction I normally read or listen to for a bit of escapism.

It was okay but it was just okay.
