Awesome book

This is such a great book from someone at such a young age! I learned so much and very inspiring. I really loved that this is written from the author's perspective. Being a young person as myself helped tremendously and I know many young people will be able to benefit from these teachings in this book

Worth a listen! I mean it

This guy is light years beyond many double his age. He has researched many of the great self help gurus and drawn upon his own experience. Alex makes his points in a fun and interesting way and every point is extremely valid if you want to get on in life. I will be making my teenage kids read/listen to this book! Alex I'm sure I will see you on one of those 'people who made it' lists. I look forward to reading an updated version when you are 30. Imagine what you will have achieved by then!!

Solid, quick advice from a wise young man

The title gives you everything you need to know about this one: it's packed with wisdom from a self-aware, hungry-to-learn 20-year-old. If I had read this at the age of 20, or had had the sort of awareness that the author does at his young age, I'm sure I would've been further ahead in my life upon exiting my teens! I have no doubt that younger folks will be able to do just that with the insights spelled out here. I recommend listening to it.

Heartfelt & Practical: Extremely Positive Message

Really enjoyed Alex's audiobook. There are a lot of actionable and practical pieces of advice in the audiobook. I enjoyed the parts about smart money management, focusing on what you like to do as a person and pursuing that, and the general motivating vibe of the audiobook. Definitely worth a listen 5 Stars!

The Journey Through Life

I loved the fact that this book is written from the author's real life experiences. Many of the topics he touches on are daily life struggles for a lot of young people, things that they experience for the first time and need to go through in order to do better next to time. This book can be a good guide for those young ones because there are some valuable lessons to live by. Narrator did a good job as well!

Great Book!

I was impressed by this book. I thought it would be all about Weird shit he did as a teenager and I was completely wrong. The author has got his head on straight. He has great insights as to what people should act like. Truly liked it a lot. "This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review."

Not bad for an up and coming leader

I actually enjoyed this audio book. Narrator had a nice slight accent so it was a pleasant listen. First, let me go through things that may turn people away from purchasing the book. While the cover of the audio book is a bit shocking for those that would not purchase it due to language, cursing is minimal. This book goes through 20 plus lessons of a 20 year old; while I am 40 and may not really seem like someone that could relate, this is for the most part relate able for almost all of us. Don’t let the 20 year old thing scare you away. Now I will go over why this book is a value and what I enjoyed. I love taking notes on motivational books, when I first started to listen to this book I decided I would just listen; yet, I ended up jotting down many little notes. The thing about this book is that it gives some quick lessons of living life to its fullest and that can be a value to all ages. I will use this audio book when I need this reminder. Format is the lesson/chapter then the author goes into life examples and then ends the chapter with questions or view points for the listener. I was offered this audio book free for my honest review. In my opinion, I will reference and listen to this audio book in the future. I will purchase this audio book for my high school senior nephew and hope he listens to it, so he does not have to be 40 before learning many of these lessons.

Very insightful life views. Awesome narration too

After a while listening to fiction novels, I have decided to try method audiobooks and, man, is this audiobook refreshing! The author goes over essential life tips, yet some of them are taken for granted by people, and this publication readdresses them with practical examples: gain knowledge, it's who you know, the more you know, surround yourself people who help you grow. I actually love it there are some f-bombs mixed up here and there. In this case, it adds a genuine touch of realism; as does the very wise narrator pick. The narrator has that 20s voice that incorporates authenticy to each statement and fully inspires. I took a thing or two out of this one. Highly recommendable.

A good reminder

Listening to Alex Alexander Trubnikov's book, I often felt like I was listening to myself, to what I believe is important to have a happy, successful life, and what I'd definitely advise to others myself - and yet, these are the things I often forget to live by myself. "20 Lessons" is not rocket science - these are not something you've never heard about, one simple trick, a magical secret, that will suddenly change your life forever when you discover it; it's a set of honest, real-life advice, backed by the author's personal experiences and explanations why they're so important. Each chapter of the book is one lesson, and all of them are something everyone should know and follow - but it's easier said than done, and also easy to forget - so I'm glad I gave this book a listen. It's a good reminder of what it takes to live a satisfying, fulfilled life, of all the actions that need taking - don't think just reading books is enough, you need to actually follow the advice given and do the work! There were some parts where Trubnikov didn't explain how he got there from the point where his readers might be, and I caught myself wondering once, "but how do I do that?", almost falling into the trap of not doing it at all just because of that - but, guess what, if you know what you need to do, and just don't know how, there's the whole Internet out there to look for answers. For anyone reading this who might be struggling with not knowing how to do something, or wanting to start something, but lacking the inspiration, motivation, or the right time - google up Mel Robbins' TED talk "How to stop screwing yourself over". Good luck! Back to the book, I find it helpful and know a few people who could definitely use it; I'm not sure if it'd be as helpful to someone who is only beginning to think about improving their life, as it's a condensed set of advice, not a step-by-step how-to, or to someone sceptical about personal development - but if you're on this website, reading reviews, I guess you actually want to give it a try. I only wish the author shared a bit more of his story - don't get me wrong, he did share a lot - but some lessons were left without much personal context. If you're getting it, I'd recommend going back to it from time to time, or writing the lessons themselves down and reviewing them often, not to forget to apply them in real life - I'll do so!

Fun, Informative, and easy

I was given a copy from this book by the author Mr. Alex in exchange for an honest review. Alex talks about the lessons he learned in his life with real examples from his own experiences, it was a fun and easy ride, and I have to say that I found the audio version very good to listen. There are no surprises in this book, those are well-known life lessons that most of us come to learn them as we grow up, however, what I really liked about this book is the targeted sample which was for young teens who probably roll their eyes when you try to advise them or tell them how hard you had to pay in order to learn about life yourself. Coming from a guy close to their age with real examples and the easy language they are more likely to listen and appreciate those crucial lessons. the only thing that bothered me was some curse words that were in the book and in the title, other than that I hope whoever reads this book enjoys it as I did and learn from it.

Lessons learned

Full disclosure, I was given this Audiobook to give an unbiased review. I will do exactly that... Lessons learned for Alex, 20ish recommendations that are worth of listening to. For me, I would have enjoyed a little more back story to give a foundation to stand on. Over all though, enjoyed the performance and information contained within this book. The reader for the information and the information should be pondered. In my opinion, the information is valid as well. I appreciated the opportunity of listening to this book and would've paid the reasonable amount of which it costs. Appreciate it Mr Trubnikov and look forward to more books from you in the future.

Worthy of your time, good advice, and interesting

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. After the first 3 mins of "...not being responsible..." and 'use at your own risk...', I was wondering what could warrant such a strong preventive measure. I found the book to have several good tips and enjoyed listening, but found the occasional use of strong language a distraction. I am not against the use of such language but choose not to use the words my self. A good book for anyone looking for a positive change in their life. I do not regret listening to it and found it humorous some of the time. Certainly agree with the authors' ideas and opinions on how a person can change their lifestyle, financial situation and relationships. I found the advice on being with your family worthwhile and letting the people who help you know you are grateful. The narration was performed very well and had a good conversational tone. A++

Life lessons are the best education

I took the time to listen to this author’s journey to adulthood and was impressed with his attitude towards the challenges that came his way. Good motivation for young people who are struggling.
