Summary

Phenomenal!!
Not only brilliant novel... but narration from Ramon Tikaram was stunning... I didnt download the previous two as I wasnt keen on the reading on the sample... so I bought the books instead... then with this one did a combination of listening, reading... AND listening whilst following in the book. Probably my best Audible buy EVER! great work gents... FABULOUS

What line wouldn't you cross?
This is the first in the series I have listened to but I will be going back to the beginning. Bradford like many old cities born out of the industrial revolution has both historic beauty and roads if at all possible you don't turn down. Here is where I got to meet DCI Harry Virdee a stalwart of the city, fighting to keep his city together and hoping for a renaissance. This tale takes in the difficulties of modern multicultural societies and this not the simple black versus white which leads to the deaths of four Asian women and has links with Harry's own personal history. Ramon Tikram was the appropriate narrator for this gritty tale that hold's your attention from the off.

A fitting conclusion to an intriguing trilogy
I read book one in paperback and heard book two on Audible. Book three is a continuation of the imaginary story of racial 'issues', policing and organised crime in the city of Bradford. All three books are irresistible page-turners and book three ends with the suggestion of a possible career change for the main protagonists - I really hope that the author manages to find a brand new platform for his undoubted talent.
In my opinion, the narrator of book three was too technically perfect and lacked the rawness of book two.

A Real page turner
I enjoyed this book enormously and found the twists and turns very engaging. I would read more in the series and look forward to the next chapter. Just one thing - the town in Yorkshire “Keighley” is pronounced KEITHLEY

A series that just gets better and better
This is definitely one of my favourite series, and I loved this book as much as the previous two.
As for the narration, I seem to be in the minority, but I prefer the first narrator as his voice fits better with the book. One minor niggle about Ramon Tikaram's narration - the town of Keighley is pronounced 'Keethley' and not 'Keeley'.
