Summary

As the Israelites camped before Mount Sinai, the Lord gave them His law, and the people gave a promise that they would obey it. But because God knew they would not be able to keep their promise, he instituted offerings and sacrifices to make atonement through the shedding of blood. The book of Leviticus, written by Moses, details the sacrificial system of the nation of Israel, including the shedding of the blood of an innocent animal, which showed the seriousness of sin.

In his comprehensive, verse-by-verse study of Leviticus, Skip Heitzig shows how central this book is to our understanding of the atoning sacrifice of Christ, and how the theme of this book is the pure worship of God.

Ignites the New Testament

Excellent! Enjoyed this thoroughly. Anyone wanting to understand the New Testament, especially Hebrews, and the why and what about Jesus, this "book" is a must read/hear.

Mind Opening

I will never read Leviticus the same way again. The integration of this book through out the bible has never been laid out as clearly and concisely. You really must understand this book to understand the new testament.

finally The book of Leviticus has been made intere

I've been listening to skip for quite some time now and I enjoy his observations and sense of humor but mostly the research he does and presenting his material. he has made the book of Leviticus and Hebrews come alive. I've always had a few questions I've never quite been satisfied before. I would recommend this to any serious Bible student.

Amazing Instruction

This book lays out the reasons every believer should study Leviticus. I found it to be incredibly interesting, and this is not my first time through Leviticus. Really helps with understanding it. Onward to Numbers!

A great way to learn more about the Bible; Skip highlights its relevance to both the New Testament and life in general.
