Such a special book, performed with care and immense talent. I just didn’t want it to end at all. Simply beautiful.

The language, plot , performances, EVERYTHING was an absolute gift from beginning to end. In depth characters, intrigue, feminism before it’s time, almost ghostly tales. If you like a good yarn, and the most exceptional performances give this your time and attention.

Honestly, I’m sure that this isn’t the best of Austen’s work but it’s really so much fun that it doesn’t matter. Highly entertaining and with all of the keen and comical observations of human nature we love.

This story was a little like a box of ripe mango. Totally delicious and gone too soon. Well crafted, it puts the listener clearly in the entertainment chair and you feel safe in the hands of the writer. For a commute it was perfect. Easy and well performed

This is by far the best audio book I've listened to in a very long time. I absolutely love Eleanor Oliphant, she is the most brilliantly constructed character.. hilariously funny as well as deeply moving. Cathleen McCarron's performance was outstanding. Everything, absolutely everything was perfection.

The first half was excellent. Punchy, interesting and brilliantly performed as well as being extremely funny. The second half felt difficult to digest. It read in repeated patterns like.. "I did this, and then this and I learnt that we should all do this" which if you're looking to read this book in an advisory capacity will work well. I just wanted to be entertained. Perhaps the clue was in the title!

Fully encapsulates the beauty and lost art of 'community'. Embraces and explores love from all sorts of strange and wonderful angles. Funny, uplifting and humbling. Medicine for the hard year that was 2016, I really needed this book. Brilliantly read.
