Jesus is the king of the universe?
I am sorry, I respect religion, but don't push it down my throat.

What made the experience of listening to Love's Executioner the most enjoyable?

The narrator was quite good. At times it made it so authentic.

Who was your favorite character and why?

It has to be the overweight woman, as I could actually feel that she committed to changes to her life.

Any additional comments?

This book was quite dense at times. The story about the dog and the overweight woman were particular intense. The man with a high libido and his dreams gave me the creeps. But overall a very enjoyable book.

If you could sum up A Little History of Philosophy in three words, what would they be?

Fascinating Introduction to Philosophy. I found myself looking up for articles about the philosophers named in the book. It was a really good listening. Great quality book, it even helped my teen with a school assignment. It breaks Philosophy down into easily digestible chunks that make you long for more.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I think it suits best to listen to it in many sittings and do some research in between.

Any additional comments?

I'm glad I gave this book a go as I definitely learnt something which I otherwise wouldn't have paid attention to.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this audiobook to a friend. I found it very engaging and thought-provoking.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that the simplest things are the ones that bring us more happiness, but obviously we are too busy to look out for them,

Have you listened to any of Sean Pratt’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I found the narration to be a bit "robotic-like". But overall very enjoyable.

Any additional comments?

It's a worthwhile listening. It goes straight to the point and offers good advice for several areas of our lives. It is up to us to put them into practice.

What did you like most about It's All in Your Head?

Interesting stories, good background about the patients, narration was really good. It was refreshing knowing that the author went to great depths to investigate her patients illnesses.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Overall I very much enjoyed the book, although it is a bit frustrating at times that it only reports what happened with the patients, rather than offering possible treatments besides following it up with psychiatrists.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The story about Camilla and baby Henry was heartbreaking. Have a tissue at hand.

Any additional comments?

I'm glad I gave it a go.

Having read previous books by Daniel Goleman I was excited about this one. Unfortunately I struggled to finish it as I thought he was going on and on about things and not getting anywhere. Perhaps it's one to be listened to whilst resting rather than running errands, exercising etc.
Narrator is excellent though. Sometimes it felt like he was an acquaintance just having a chat.

The concepts, parallels anf conclusions are very good, but the background and introductions are a bit too long. The book could be some 36% shorter.
