Loved it, recommend this book. Its helped me see myself in a better light. The only adjustment I have made is that I don't blame my outer child. I understand the communication behind her behaviour and her need for acceptance too

I first listened to this book in Oct 2017, and I loved it then. At the time I was starting out my own spiritual journey, and learning to 'brave the wilderness'. In 2017 it helped me take a leap of faith that has allowed me now to create the life I always wanted.

Now in 2020 I was called to stand in the Wilderness again, alone. This book reminded me of how to do this and how although the price is high the reward is great. I learned this in 2017!!

It is great book, with so much insight. I always find Brene Brown's work inspiring and life altering. This is no different. Highly recommended.

I know of James Smith through my partner, so I've only know him from his perspective. He recommended the book and like most of the recommendations I get, I took it up. Everything happens for a reason, right?

Some of content I felt I had heard before and just before part two I hit my wall, thinking just that. I kept with it and actually ended up not just enjoying the book but actually learning a whole lot about my own body. I've recently been reading up on the menstrual cycle and how over the past 100 or so years it has somehow now evoked shame and its subject that is somehow a taboo, hence why most women don't understand it. How refreshing it was to not just hear a man confidently discuss this, but also teach me more about it and my body.

In the end I've gained alot from this book, and like many things there are few bumps but I do urge you to hang in there.

Overall an inspiring story packed with knowledge that offers understanding.
