this is a brilliant story, the narration was done very well. it is obviously a book written of an older age as it is a little dry in places. this book would be fun if you had an atlas and could follow the Co ordinates and you knew all the fish or could get pictures of them. I really enjoyed this book

I have thoroughly enjoyed all four of the lunar chronical books, the story just kept getting better, I am pleased with the character development and the incorporation of the fairy tales. I hope there will be many more from marries meyers. Rebecca soler really brought the characters to life and it was great she read the whole series, characters become something unique and the change of a narrator can make it hard to continue relating to the characters. I would recommend this series to all.

I have read a few of Ken Follets books and this is no exception, a truly well written book that creates a world with a mass of characters and stories you can relate to. I am bereft to have finished the book and lost all these friends, the characters and world have felt so real and so much details of their lives it is like moving towns. Ken Follett has a truly original and complex style in all of the books I have read I look forward to reading more of his tales of our history.

I read this right after finishing Pillars and struggled through it. Pillars was a very deep and rich world where there was a character of all types and this was very hard to break away from. through most of this book I found myself feeling the same characters with different names had been dragged out, I was not going to give this a high recommendation, however, having completed the story I have found myself swept away with the plot and throughly enjoying the story and the characters. it was only diminished by the true awesomeness of the first book Pillars.
