Very thorough and well researched history of the Vory, their evolution through the decline of the Soviet era, and current modus operandi. Up to date, although for obvious reasons, the extent and details of current operations are less well detailed than previous.

Although much of this book provides an interesting insight into pro cycling, there is very little that is revelatory. The book also lacks any narrative, it is more a collection of notes divided into chapters based on subjects

Sergeant Amy Callan and Lieutenant Caroline Cooke have a lot in common. Both were army high-flyers. Both were acquainted with Jack Reacher. Both were forced to resign from the service. Now they're both dead. Found in their own homes, naked, in a bath full of paint. Apparent victims of an army man. A loner, a smart guy with a score to settle, a ruthless vigilante. A man just like Jack Reacher.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No - good story but truly terrible narration.

How could the performance have been better?

Needs to be re-done with a proper narrator - one who can do more than one voice. From the the awful Mario Bros "I-talian" in the first chapter things go downhill. All the women sound like Betty Boop. Good story spoiled by terrible narration.
