This book is absorbing and very thought provoking. I am listening avidly but will not let my ten year old hear it yet. I think young adult is definitely the category here. The book is well written and the narration is excellent.

Kit is horrified to meet Juniper, a girl who's been brought up completely without smell prejudice, and who's very keen on sniffing his armpits! When an E-nose (the very latest in smell technology) is delivered to her house, Juniper tries it out, and the machine duplicates the actual people whose essences were in an old cabinet of smells, which once belonged to Dr. Fell from Tudor times.

I bought this audio for my 7 year old boy. He says:

"I like it because when I go to sleep after I have been listening I dream that I am Kit. It makes me giggle but some bits are a bit scary. I hope there will be other books to follow this one."
