I have not enjoyed a book like this for a long time. Sometimes when you already know the story, a book telling you the whole story disappoints..... Not so this book! ..It told the story so well, that you felt you were there, observing all the hurdles that King George Vl overcame. It was an enthralling tale of two men and the special relationship that developed between them, as they worked to together for the King to be able to speak! Congratulations to the narrator, he did a superb job.

A fascinating twist.

The concept of taking a period of history is not unknown, but setting the historical characters in a modern setting is perhaps not as well known. Barbara Taylor Bradford excels herself in this book.I have not enjoyed a book so much in a long time. Knowing the period in history she used and being very fond of that period myself I was a bit apprehensive however I needn't have worried.Ms Bradford worked the story so well, that you forgot about the historical character and became more interested and caught up with the modern day ones. I can't praise the reader high enough, she made it come alive for me. Yes, congratulations all round!!
