This book has enabled me to see the world, people, and spirituality in a completely new way. Dr David Hawkins has managed to explain timeless spiritual reality in a way that can make sense to the modern, thinking, intelligent individual. Having read Power vs. Force I went on to read most of Dr Hawkin's other works and also listened to most of his lectures. I have found his knowledge, experience and skilled teaching to be invaluable and the lectures are often humorous and entertaining as well as inspiring.

There is a body of work called "The Great Books of the Western World"; I believe Power vs. Force should be number 1 in the list.

Listening to the author read this masterwork adds to the experience.

You may wish to hunt around on the internet to get a copy of the scale of consciousness as he refers to this and seeing it helps to make sense of it. You can either Google images for "Hawkins scale of consciousness" and it is possible to order a copy from www.veritaspub.com.

The unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Susan Cain’s groundbreaking book Quiet, brilliantly read by Kathe Mazur. In Quiet, the international best seller, Susan Cain shows how the brain chemistry of introverts and extroverts differs, and how society misunderstands and undervalues introverts. She gives introverts the tools to better understand themselves and take full advantage of their strengths. Passionately argued, superbly researched, and filled with real stories, Quiet will permanently change how we see introverts - and how you see yourself.

This book left me feeling deeply grateful to have found it. Such was the indoctrination in my life that introverts have something wrong with them that, as an introvert, I just accepted this view as fact! So the message of this book - that introversion is a valid and valuable way of being - came as a relief to say the least. I feel calm, liberated, validated and respected having read this book.

This book is a wonderful gift for all introverts who may even feel ashamed of their personality type! Read it and weep for joy!

Kathe Mazur's narration was excellent: enjoyable, warm and tuned for the subject.

And if you are the author reading this: from my heart, thank you!

Of the many self help books I've read this is one of the best. I found it to be clear, practical, encouraging, intelligent, considerate, powerful, articulate, and easy to translate into action.

I'd go further and say that this book is a work of inspired genius, and I chose those works carefully so as not to exaggerate.

If you want assistance with improving your life and are willing to make the effort to use well crafted tools, this is a good book for you.

I ended up purchasing the Kindle version as well to study each tool in detail and make written notes that I can carry with me day to day for reminders.

Feels like a Godsend.

I had been aware of the concept "self-esteem" since the 80s but never really understood what it meant beyond the vaguest terms. This book was a revelation because it clearly explains the psychological causes and effects that can lead to a raising or lowering of self-esteem. The book also explains how your self-esteem can be brought under your own control. I found the exercises provided by Dr Branden to be easy to use and they brought noticeable and lasting benefits. Highly recommended.

This leading-edge program by Esther and Jerry Hicks, who present the teachings of the non-physical entity Abraham, will help you understand the emotions that you've been experiencing all of your life. Instead of the out-of-control, knee-jerk reactions that most people have to their ever-changing life experience, this work will put those responses into a broader context. You'll come to understand what emotions are, what each of them means, and how to effectively utilize your new awareness of them.

I read several of Jerry and Esther's books before I was sure that what they are saying is real but it does all make sense to me and I feel very lucky to have found this information. The explanations in this book seem particularly clear and useful. The metaphor "rowing your boat against the stream" is inspired. Listen to Esther's talk at the end: just brilliant. For me the pace of Jerry's speech was just right.
