As a turned human, he doesn’t enjoy a heartbeat or breathing and is consequently weaker than fully blooded vampires. This was my first Kresley Cole Book and after reading some of the positive reviews of her work, I decided to pick up the first in the series....I was really surprised how well written and presented this audiobook was, the use of a male and female narrator worked really well to show the characters different points of view. Although it is only a short story (being just under 4 hours) it did not lack in plot and character development. I absolutely cannot wait for the next in the series 'A hunger like no other' which come out in October (which be a full length novel).
For anybody who wants a new twist on our current vampire craze, I would definitely recommend this audiobook!

Three years ago, Dare returned home to rural western Montana and opened a hunting business to rival Angie’s. Complicating matters is the fact that Dare has asked Angie out (not once but twice) and has given her a gift of butterflies in the process. Angie has no patience for butterflies. They only lead to foolish decisions. And now the infuriatingly handsome Iraq war vet has siphoned away Angie’s livelihood, forcing her to close up shop. Before Angie is to leave town, she organizes one last trip into the wilderness....

I am a big Linda Howard fan and was hoping for a really good book this time around (after not really enjoying her previous few releases). I loved this audiobook! It had me listening non stop over two days and staying up till 3am.... This story is a little gory in parts but definitely kept me on the edge of my seat, I was delighted that the romance between the two main characters was back to the same standard as some of her earlier titles and kept my attention to the end. The narrator was really good, smooth tone of voice and did the male voice very well, no complants from me 5/5 stars!

As someone who usualy listens romance and suspense, this was a nice change for me. I really enjoyed the plot and characters, it is a nice mix of science fiction and romance, although at times I got a bit lost in Catherine Asaros's termanology. The narrator Anna Fields, is one of my favourites and led me to this audiobook, she did a superb job as usual.
Now I just have to figure out what order the next audiobook comes in, so I can continue the series.

This was one of my first audible buys and one I have listened to many times over the years. This is pure viking romance, hot and full of adventure, it is bit less predictable then your average romance novel. A pleasure to listen to!!!! The narrator annoyed me at first but I eventually got used to her. The 2nd and 3rd book in this series are also available on audible and are just as enjoyable. I have always hoped that the next 3 of Josie Litton's Akoran Series would be brought out on audiobook format but four years on and I am still waiting and doubt they will be now :(....
