In a world devastated by nuclear war with humanity on the edge of extinction, aliens finally make contact. They rescue those humans they can, keeping most survivors in suspended animation while the aliens begin the slow process of rehabilitating the planet. When Lilith Iyapo is "awakened", she finds that she has been chosen to revive her fellow humans in small groups by first preparing them to meet the utterly terrifying aliens, then training them to survive on the wilderness that the planet has become. But the aliens cannot help humanity without altering it forever.

The story is quite good, the narration is calming but i have never met a bunch of more sullen whiny human being in my life. They are uniformly annoying alternating from petulant teenagers to irrational idiots. Give the book a go but i defy you not to root for our alien overlords within a couple of chapters .

Where does Dungeon Calamity rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I loved these books and put them up there with bobiverse books, one of my all time favorite book series .

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the characters they are funny, relatable and possibly sociopathic mixed with just a sprinkle a slap stick homour!

What does Vikas Adam bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Such a lively narration clear definition between characters, sounded like he enjoyed the book also.

Any additional comments?

Do give this current trilogy a try. I can not wait for book four

For eons, conquering dungeons has been the most efficient way to become a strong adventurer. Although not everything is as straightforward as it seems. Several questions have always plagued the minds of those who enter these mythical places of power: why are there so many monsters? Where do the amazing weaponry and heavy gold coins come from? Why does the very air fill with life-giving energies? Cal has all of the answers to these age-old questions, for a very simple reason. He is a Dungeon Heart.

It's not easy being king. Especially when you've got an allergy to sunrise and sunset, a fire goddess for a mother-in-law, demonic adversaries, random assassins, and a basement full of insecurities to cope with. Add to that his daughter, the fire priestess/princess; a couple of lightly deranged professional magicians; a whole city full of wizards; and enough squabbling princes to resemble a kindergarten argument. It's enough to make a man want to just go home.

Where does High Moor rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Not a huge horror fan, but this book sucked me in and is definitely in my top five audio books. No character is safe from the werewolf in this book which I find a refreshing change.

Who was your favorite character and why?

To be honest the main protagonists are written so well and believably I can not choose one.

What about Chris Barnes’s performance did you like?

Chris' narration brings the characters to life and it nice to hear other British accents outside of RP.

Any additional comments?

Loved this book some much when I finished it I instantly downloaded the sequel
