- A Journey Through the Heart of the Middle East
- By: Levison Wood
- Narrated by: Levison Wood
- Length: 8 hrs and 53 mins
Following in the footsteps of great explorers such as Lawrence of Arabia and Wilfred Thesiger, Arabia is Levison Wood's account of his most complex expedition yet: circumnavigating the Arabian Peninsula. Travelling through some of the harshest and most beautiful environments on earth, he seeks to challenge our perceptions of an often misunderstood part of the world, seeing how the region has changed and examining the stories we don't often hear about in the media.

I can recommend from experience
This book was an absolute pleasure to listen too. A first-hand and honest account of life, travelling and the Middle East; the result is a very wonderful, very grey and sometimes bloody annoying reality.
I am travelling from Morroco to Pakistan and I listened to 'Lev' halfway through; the book hits it spot on. Wood's stories, histories and personal reflections are well balanced.
More I was inspired to follow some of his adventures, for example, Christmas in Jerusalem and Bethlehem. If you're crazy enough to do so too, he has some a great trail to follow - well some of it, I'd keep to half the amount of warzones...just for safe keeping.
Thank you for writing this.
