I was happily working my way through a beautiful period romance series when I saw this. I have a personal connection to this topic as my uncle was an avid mountain climber. Seeing as this is narrated by my favorite narrator (so far) I decided to take a break from fantasy and listen to the realities of Ms. Coffey and many others. This book (although very sad and gruesome in parts) is incredibly inspiring. I was completely enlightened and have a whole new outlook on what I thought was my uncles 'hobby'. It was beautifully narrated by Gemma Dawson who tactfully succeeded in uplifting as well as respectfully re-telling some of the very tragic events that were theses peoples lives. Inspirational stuff!

On the verge of tears - WONDERFUL!

I was very keen to listen to another book read by Gemma Dawson and I enjoyed Jane Feather's writing in Venus so much that it made sense to get the next book in the series.
