I love these books. The history and the real life tales are brilliant, the Uber Successful strong independent woman who is Max, I’ve learnt so much about ancient history.
But I’m just getting a little tired of the story.
When she dies and comes back in another time...(no spoiler, if you’re listening now you know this it was the last book) well for me, it got a little far fetched. (I know time travel is far fetched, but it’s not aft Who)
Love the romance between Max and Leon. Just wish every mission didn’t go wrong. It’s getting a bit same’y.
Needless to say, still loved it.
Great narration.

Again, a brilliant book, brilliant narration. I’m the midst of disappointment it’s over and it’ll be years before we get another one. I love this series it’s superb.
London, policing, magic, amazing descriptions, a feast for the imagination.
Thanks Kobna, thanks Ben.

I only heard about this book on Woman’s Hour on Radio 4, where Jenny Murray interviewed Ruth Jones. I knew this book would be good as anything Ruth does just is.

It didn’t disappoint, caught the feelings and emotions so well. Don’t we all have that person, the one who got away, or the “what if” person. I found the narration superb, how does the narrator do Scottish and Welsh so well, a talent for sure.

I liked the story, Ruth Jones said she knew Kate wasn’t very likeable and she “makes no bones about that” but I did like Kate, she was complex and interesting, Calum I didn’t like, he was just so weak.

All the characters had depth, and you felt like you knew them (Ruth is SO good at characterisation). This story captured the complexities of an affair, the passion, the mess and pain it causes so well.

Never Greener is a great story, addictive listen. I’d highly recommend it.

I’d just love to know who Kate is based on, because let’s face it, we all know she is based on someone Ruth Jones has met in all her years of TV and drama.

Pure bliss - Narration is exceptionally good.

Brilliant narration, great story telling. Was dubious, I mean another one! Oh no it’s fabulous, great characters, a nice story line!

I was left wanting more, which there probably will be!

Such a fan of the "Rivers of London" books. This did not disappoint.

Ok it's short, but thats ok with these books I'd take whatever I am given. As ever it leaves you wanting more and more!

A great story and Kobna's narration is splendid.

The only negative is the dull ache once you've finsihed missing the characters and their stories so much.

I hope Ben Aaronovitch gets a move on and writes another one quick.

I loved this book, it's engaging, funny, sad and uplifting all at once. Utterly addictive.

I found myself wishing this was a true story so I could google her, her story and Mummy. I wanted to know more and more.

Great narration - Mummy was so scary. I was hooked until the end, which is satisfying.

I had such high hopes for this - I love the FB page. I'm a full time middle class working Mum - I hoped this book was for me. It was not.

This is basically a re-run of the FB page, made to be a story, which has no real story line and is complete nonsense.

It's starts funny but it's a repeat of the same old stuff and gets boring not exciting. It's ends up being complete rubbish of drunken middle class dribble. The story line with the Eco Sister is horrific and so far fetched.

The book made me want to scream "stand up for yourself woman" about 100 times. You need a bottle of wine to get through one chapter.

I skipped most of this book after chapter 5, I had to hear what happened in front of the clock.... nothing does. This isn't a spoiler. I found this book dragged and really nothing really goes on, it's full of overly descriptive stuff about pointless stuff. Very little makes sense either. It feels like a really rushed book, written quickly without any thought, and it isn't gripping and certainly is not a page turner (constant listen).

I was disappointed as I normally love this author, but not this one.

Boring. Nothing really happens, what does is predictable and dull. Both the love interests are so so so obvious. The kids are a cliche. This story could have been so much better, it's like the writer got bored herself and couldn't be bothered with it. Real
Shame as I like Lucy Diamonds other books and audible books, so had high hopes.

A great story, beautifully written, I cried at the end. The first few chapters are tough going, don't read/listen if you've recently been in a RTC. The story is great, captivating. Couldn't stop listening .
