The beautiful Tessa Quayle is murdered near Lake Turkana in northern Kenya, the birthplace of mankind. And her putative African lover and travelling companion has vanished from the scene of the crime. Tessa’s husband, a career diplomat and amateur gardener at the British High Commission in Nairobi, sets out on a personal odyssey in pursuit of the killers and their motive. On his way he meets terror, violence, and conspiracy, but his greatest discovery is the woman he barely had time to love.

loved this story and the way it was told. I'm a truck driver so these Audio books make a great change from the radio. I was recommended to read this by an Australian friend in the medical field. I didn't expect to love this book as much and will recommend to friends and family..

In his first novel, Look Who It Is!, Alan told his story ('oh and what a life') with his unique twist of natural, observational and tongue-in-cheek humour that made him famous. Alan Carr described his life story in his own words, from growing up in a football-mad family in Northampton to his rise as one of Britain's best-loved comedians. And now he is ready to divulge the next chapter in bursts of hilarious Technicolor.

it's always interesting to hear about your favourite actor singer or performers life but when it's this funny and relatable it's so good. I'm glad I got this audio book as my first. I drive long distance in my lorry so these audio books are great and make a pleasant change from listening to the same song every 20 minutes on the radio 😊
