When two Union soldiers stumble onto a plantation in northern Georgia on a warm May day in 1864, the last thing they expect is to see the Union flag flying high - or to be greeted by a group of freed slaves and their Jewish mistress. Little do they know that this place has an unusual history. Twelve years prior, Adelaide Mannheim - daughter of Mordecai, the only Jewish planter in the county - was given her own maid, a young slave named Rachel. The two became friends, and soon they discovered a secret.

I was gripped from start to finish and enjoyed all the twists and turn.

Beautufully read too 😀

I have just finished this book and will be reading it again straight away. It's packed with information and so much motivation. Dr Gregar reads the book himself and is such a joy to listen to. I've downloaded the app as well and completely changed my outlook on food and my meals. I feel GREAT already 😀 But most important to me I am now king changes to family meals without them knowing so they are seeing the benefits too. All I can say is THANK YOU Dr Gregar, amazing book.
