Robert Kiyosaki has challenged and changed the way tens of millions of people around the world think about money. With perspectives that often contradict conventional wisdom, Robert has earned a reputation for straight talk, irreverence and courage. He is regarded worldwide as a passionate advocate for financial education. According to Kiyosaki, "The main reason people struggle financially is because they have spent years in school but learned nothing about money."

This is one of the first books I have listened to in order to increase my overall financial knowledge. I enjoyed the contrast between the teachings of the rich dad and the poor dad, and it did made me think about some of my beliefs on education and finance.
Overall I think this is a good book to get people starting to think about having a positive frame of mind, some of the points are common sense but it makes you reframe your thinking. I.e. Instead of saying 'I cannot afford that Bentley' and walking out of the showroom, you should be thinking 'what do I need to do to afford that Bentley'!

I started listening to this book in my quest for a better understanding of trading, which I am hoping to start in a few months. After the first few chapters which were mildly interesting be prepared for lots of chapters about personal development, self awareness, Oneness blessings, and the Van Tharp supertrader programme. Lots of the writers seemed able to take months out to meditate, conduct internal reflection, go through personal transformations, and become Oneness blessing givers.
While I can see benefit in knowing your own personality, stopping negative thoughts influencing trading, aiming for happiness, and I do agree with the power that faith can bring, I did not expect most of the book to be about experiences with the supertrader programme and month long transformational psychological study.
Luckily Audible has a x2 speed!
Too little basic trading information, and too much psychological reflection &
Oneness information for my current situation, hence 3 stars.
