Love this series. The books are easy to listen to, my only criticism is this book felt too short. It isn't it just a good listen and pace is kept going through every chapter.

definitely going to listen to the next instalment.

When pretty, smart Sara Long is found bludgeoned to death, it's easy to blame the man with the bat. But Georgia Davis - former cop and newly-minted PI - is hired to look into the incident at the behest of the accused's sister, and what she finds hints at a much different, much darker answer. It seems the privileged, preppy schoolgirls on Chicago's North Shore have learned just how much their innocence is worth to hot-under-the-collar businessmen.

Last summer, with the help of demon-killer Stephen Tapper, Raven Smith faced Hell on Earth to stop the demon-apocalypse (or more like, put it on hold). Could not put this down. The characters are great, the way that the author describes the locations brings them to life in full colour.

Its one of those books that you don't see all the twists and lies until the last chapter. To really appreciate this book read Deception first.

A great read. The accents leave a little to be desired and the I found the voices of the characters jarring at first, but as you get engrossed in the story this minor irritation just fades away.

Imagine no-one ever telling you the truth, telling you lies that you don't know who to believe; the hurt when you find out that someone you thought you could trust turns out to be a demon. Even those that are there to protect you don't tell the whole truth. At 18 these are hard lessons to learn. A great read and can't wait to read the next instalment.

The main character is so refreshing. Bitter and a little twisted but still with a good heart. It will be interesting to see where the next book takes this character.

Love the way the author has combined the supernatural world into something new, and no gratuitous sex scenes.

The supporting characters are so different to each other. I was so sure that one of them would be a main stay for the rest of the series, but she's been killed off! And not only that she busts his jewels for trying to bring her back.

Really getting hooked by this author and narrator. Very talented duo.

Cass Clereaux is good at two things: finding treasure and killing demons. Lying low is a close third - but not because she wants to be good at hiding. Cass is a FireSoul, one of the unlucky few to inherit a piece of a dragon's soul. On the surface, the perks are sweet - she has the power to find and steal any type of magical treasure, including the powers of other supernaturals. But it doesn't come without a price; stealing powers requires that she kill, and others would destroy her if they discover what she is.

Superb listen. One that I will read more than once. The narration was spot on. Bringing the characters and the town to life. I could feel my anger rising at the injustice and found myself willing some of the victims to find a way to freedom.

The ending I just didn't see coming. I guarantee you'll enjoy this book.
