As a child, Julia Forrester spent many idyllic hours in the hothouse of Wharton Park estate, where her grandfather tended the exotic flowers. So when a family tragedy strikes, Julia returns to the tranquility of Wharton Park and its hothouse. Recently inherited by charismatic Kit Crawford, the estate is undergoing renovation. This leads to the discovery of an old diary, prompting the pair to seek out Julia's grandmother to learn the truth behind a love affair that almost destroyed Wharton Park.

I cannot recommend this book enough. Lucinda Riley transports you so intensely and the characters are so alive. I loved it. I came across Lucinda Riley by chance and after listening to/reading this amazing book, I have listened to/read Butterfly Room and Seven Sisters (narrator of first volume of Seven Sisters very disappointing). I am now a BIG Lucinda Riley FAN! Thank you Lucinda.

Bath, England. A city steeped in culture and rich historical significance. Except it's the seventies and this once glorious city has seen better days. Enter Peter True. Peter is a much-loved and mollycoddled four-year old boy who enjoys the attention of his mother, father, cousins, and aunts. But not his sisters. When it comes to his education, Mum has the very best intentions for Peter. So she sends him to a girls' school. Whatever was she thinking?

Really appreciated this story, told with great sensitivity. I felt I was 'there' and all the characters were brought to life so it was like knowing them in person! I felt great empathy for Peter. NB: the voice of the narrator very pleasant.

There's been a major breakthrough in the world's oldest research experiment. For over 2,500 years, Buddhist meditators have investigated the human psyche. Now with the help of modern neuroscience, we have gained an unprecedented understanding of how the brain responds to meditation practice - which gives you powerful tools for changing your own brain for more happiness, love, and wisdom.
