Gripping story narrated brilliantly . This book has adventure ,exciting romance, villains and heroes /heroine and courageous tales in different countries and cultures .....absolutely loved it. First time l have listened to or read a Wilbur Smith book and l am totally smitten. Onwards now to choose another.

Loved it and was on edge and very invo!bed with all the characters. It was very different from the Hand maidens tale but l liked the fact that it was not just a sequel... Completely fresh excellent

Quite enjoyed alot of the book, first time l had read one of Jeffrey Archer books . He obviously translates better to film and television,as l was reading it but not seeing it in my minds eye . In other words it did not stimulate me or bring the characters to life . To be fair I have enjoyed his work portrayed in film and television. Clearly the professionals in these fields were able to bring that extra spark which he lacks. He should be a script writer.

Was surprised how little new material was in this sequel !! Great long repeats of details word for word from Kane and Abel ! a brief reference for people who had not read the first book would have been sufficient. I felt cheated and that the author had been lazy and unimaginative. The plot was so predictable and churned out like a chore which had to be achieved and had not been inspired by a wish to do the best by his readers..

Revealing and down to earth account of a progressive and caring president and first lady. Narrated with sincerity and heart warming in the normality and humour. Excellent book , which makes you think long and hard about the contrast in attitude of the current administration

Slow to begin and the narrator didn't help but totally changed as it went on. Emily Fox became very interesting and the book excellant!! Wonderful detail as usual and really brought home how brave people can be, working secretly to help save lives. Ken Gillett excellent as usual.

Just didn't appeal to me. Found the content a bit repetitive and uninteresting, the plot didn't make me want to listen for longer, but l persevered. The narrator didn't help, l found his readings monotone without alot of interpretation. Maybe his later books are different,as l believe this was his first book. I will try others to be fair as he is my daughter's favourite author. Maybe it is a generation thing!!
