Some people think Jay-Z is just another rapper. Others see him as just another celebrity/mega-star. The reality is, no matter what you think Jay-Z is, he is first and foremost a business. And as much as Martha Stewart or Oprah, he has turned himself into a lifestyle. This audiobook explains just how Jay-Z propelled himself from the bleak streets of Brooklyn to the heights of the business world.

Miracle morning summed up in one sentence, is get up early, do exercise, meditate and be positive. Their is no miracle, it's just useful habits. However, saying that, it is well worth a read as it does put you in a positive frame of mind and is an enjoyable listen.

It reminds you to do the things you already knew you should do, which has value in itself. I would recommend.

James Caan is one of Britain's most successful entrepreneurs. Dropping out of school at just sixteen, he started his business life with no qualifications and two pieces of advice: 'Observe the masses and do the opposite' and 'Always look for opportunities where both parties benefit'. Armed with just his father's wisdom, his own unique charm and the Yellow Pages, James Caan built a market-leading business with a turnover of more than #130 million from a broom cupboard.

Why are some people and organizations more innovative, more influential, and more profitable than others? Why do some command greater loyalty from customers and employees alike? Even among the successful, why are so few able to repeat their successes over and over? People like Martin Luther King, Jr.; Steve Jobs; and the Wright Brothers might have little in common, but they all started with why. Their natural ability to start with why enabled them to inspire those around them and to achieve remarkable things.

I recently read Elon Musks book, but didn't get a sense of me being able to to it, he appeared gifted with natural ability.

Where as Duncan's book literally recounts from being dirt poor to 100million plus, simply by using sound logic. It seems very achievable without downplaying the tough bits.

Really enjoyed and learned from it too. Gives a sense of perspective on creating big companies

I think the author has padded this out, it could have been 1/3 of the size and I would have given it a better raiting

Why do some products get more word of mouth than others? Why does some online content go viral? Word of mouth makes products, ideas, and behaviors catch on. It's more influential than advertising and far more effective. Can you create word of mouth for your product or idea? According to Berger, you can. Whether you operate a neighborhood restaurant, a corporation with hundreds of employees, or are running for a local office for the first time, the steps that can help your product or idea become viral are the same.

It should have been longer, with actually useful information, after finishing the audiobook, i don't feel that i have learned anything

What was most disappointing about Bob Bly’s story?

Bob Bly actually states he knows how to appear to be an expert without actually being one, i think this is probably the case

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

i felt my time had been wasted, fortunately it was only cheap which softens the blow, but i would have preferred to pay more and get more
