Pema Chodron is such an amazing and intelligent teacher who comes across as totally egoless. She has such a simple way of explaining complex subjects and her choice of words cut straight to the point without over complicating the subject she is talking about.

I’ve listened to many spiritual teachers over the years and Pema is definitely one of the best.

A lot of the information in this book can be found in Mode One, although i found this book does have a few contradictions in it. For example, in his book Mode One Mr Curry makes a strong emphasis that a man should never use small talk when interacting with women, yet he does so on one or two occasions in this book.
But the reason I returned this book was due to the part where the author reenacts having real sex with the female narrators.

At the last section of the book there is a number of dialogues between Mr Curry and some female narrators where they reenact having sex, for the first minute I found this quite amusing, yet it then continued for at least another 5 to 10 minutes, which i found boring and totally pointless and I believe is only there to enlarge Mr Curry’s huge ego. But this doesn’t happen just once, it continually happens after each and every story, there are 5 stories total.

For me this was just overkill and unnecessary and spoilt the book. If i wanted to listen to two people having sex i’d go and watch a porno instead. Wouldn’t recommend.

The theme of this four-day retreat: "It's Always Now" The Now is inseparable from who you are at the deepest level. It is the prerequisite of Being. As you listen to the words on this tape, you participate in the retreat. To "retreat" means to step back - not only from the outer world, but also from the world in your head, the thinking mind. Allow the sound of the words to take you beyond words and beyond sound to the stillness within.

These 99 traits of a bad boy aren't just for attracting women they can also be used for over improvements in a persons life.
The author/narrator does a great job reading this book and has a good tone to his voice.
I recommend this audiobook to anyone who suffers from the nice guy syndrome and wants to change for the better.
