Both Cal and Dale have become stronger, each in spite of the other. The dungeon - Cal - knows exactly how much their strength has increased, and is working hard to become exponentially more powerful. His schemes are becoming more complex, and his dungeon - his body - more deadly. Dale has a nasty surprise waiting for him as he works to thwart the plans of the devious dungeon. Hearing a voice in his head that distracts him in critical moments, he must fight his mind as he battles deadly creatures.

The premise of the Divine Dungeon series is refreshing and the universe quickly draws you in, sadly the immersion is periodically shattered by lazy writing and a voice actor trying to hard. The books are worth listening to and we can only hope that Dakota Krout develops as a writer to do justice to the brilliant concept of the Divine Dungeon.
