The long-awaited autobiography of one of Britain’s best-loved actors. Born the son of a Billingsgate market porter at the height of the Second World War, David Jason spent his early life dodging bombs and bullies, both with impish good timing.

How is David Jason still alive? I thought I was accident prone. One of my comedy hero's. It would have been even better if he had narrated it him self, but the book was so good after a while you don't even think about it not being him. Michael Fenton Stevens has got such a lovely voice to listen to.

Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Spectacles, the hilarious, creative and incredibly moving memoir from much loved comedian, writer and presenter Sue Perkins. When I began writing this book, I went home to see if my mum had kept some of my stuff. What I found was that she hadn't kept some of it. She had kept all of it - every bus ticket, postcard, school report....

I suppose I still haven't, I've listen to this book 3 times now. I love the film so I new the book would be good. The harsh reality of how people used to live and treat other people, apart from one or two where see the person rather than their race, social standing, or religion. I think some could still learn a lot from this book

Jennifer Saunders' comic creations have brought joy to millions. From Comic Strip to Comic Relief, from Bolly-swilling Edina in Ab Fab to her takes on Madonna or Mamma Mia, her characters are household names. But it's Jennifer herself who has a place in all our hearts. This is her funny, moving, and frankly bonkers memoir, filled with laughter, friends, and occasional heartache - but never misery. Bonkers is full of riotous adventures.

What an amazing, beautiful and strong person Sheila Hancock is. Listen to this book in one night ( I got audio books to help me sleep, that back fired big time). Ordered her second book so no sleep again tonight.
