Having eaten up Lisa Jewell’s books in the past, I was really looking forward to this one. But somehow ‘The Family Upstairs’ just didn’t connect with me. The first part felt a little drawn out with lots of different characters..As the story evolved, I enjoyed it more but overall.. it felt too wordy and tired me rather than enlivened my reading senses

This is one of the best books I’ve read for a long time. Fascinating storyline which touches on some important issues regarding the future ethics of tech and AI. Loved it

Started well but then became quite dull not helped by the narrators approach and the detail of the poker games. Also very annoying because intelligent lead character kept making stupid choices - promised initially but did not deliver

Usually I listen to Audible in the car but this book had me desperate to listen to it everywhere, I was gripped. Brilliant story, twists and turns and loved the narrator - so sad when it ended...One of the best I’ve ever listened to

After a slow start, you become immersed in the tale of secrets and sadness. Really well narrated
